Could VMS be the next Julimar ?

CHN thinks so, infact, they are very confident to the point that they have a 70% interest in the THOR project owned by VMS.

The images of both Julimar and THOR very similar and CHN has been doing a drill program since the start of April, so results estimated this month or next.

VMS also have a iron ore mine on care and maintenance, waiting for the iron ore price to stabilise and improve.

VMS also has one of the largest tin deposits in Australia, both projects are situated in Tasmania.

I am updating the chart later on.

ASN

This is my other " pet " stock apart from AVZ which i will ride to production and beyond.

This is a real dark horse stock that hasnt had the pumps like LKE / LTR and the like.

Has a brine play in UTAH right next to Tesla , the PARADOX project, contains multi minerals in the brine, BROMINE, LITHIUM, IODINE, potentially MAGNESIUM too if they can extract it without compromising the other minerals grade and quality.

Currently they are drilling to expand the Lithium resource by drilling 2500m to hit the Missisipian / Leederville formation.

They are potentially seeking a resource greater than 10 times !!

Good news today, they have confirmed they have hit MINERAL RICH BRINE.

DFS due JUNE / JULY which will encompass the Paradox expansion results.

The DFS also could trigger MOU conversion to JV with TETRA.

On top of all that, they have a BULL project in WA right next to CHN Julimar.

Big second half of the year for ASN.

For me it's IXR (Ionic Rare Earths)

Huge clay deposit containing rare earth elements (REE) in Uganda

Very much like AVZ in the sense that it's a big deposit, near surface and undeveloped at this stage

Also similar in that it could provide some excellent social benefits for the communities and people of the region

With China dominating REE production currently this provides a great opportunity for other jurisdictions to secure supply into the future

What are REE used for?

REEs are used in a variety of industrial applications, including electronics, clean energy, aerospace, automotive and defence. Manufacturing permanent magnets is the single largest and most important end use for REEs, accounting for 29% of the forecasted demand in 2020.3 Feb 2022

Biden keeps funds flowing to build US electric vehicle supply chain

One of the companies seeking funds under the Defense Production Act, as well as the infrastructure bill, is Indiana-based American Resources, which has developed a way to process recycled battery materials that’s cleaner and safer than what’s currently done in China, according to Chief Executive Officer Mark Jensen.

This approach, which stems from work done by scientists at several universities and Eli Lilly, borrows concepts from the pharmaceutical industry to isolate and purify certain elements to turn them into production-ready cathode material. Cathodes and anodes are the two components of a battery that store lithium ions. The federal grants would amount to just a slice of the company’s capital expenditures, he said.

Jensen says he hasn’t had any trouble raising money privately — he’s opening a facility in Indiana this month that will process minerals for rare earth magnets used in things like electric motors, as well as missiles and drones. But he still thinks the government money is important.

“What the administration’s capital will provide is just faster growth,” he told me. “It’ll help us work with more collaborative partners faster.”

Beyond money, the government grant process is forcing companies to seek partners and organize who will tackle which piece of the supply chain, Jensen said. He’s already talking to a few automakers that are racing to find ways to source battery minerals domestically.

“It’s herding the cats and making it happen quicker, better and stronger,” he said.

Biden’s goal is for half of US passenger car and light-truck sales to be zero-emission by 2030.

Current EV manufacturing will have to grow 15 times to do that, according to a Defense Department presentation obtained by Bloomberg.

Interesting, I'm wanting to pull out about 20% of my AVZ holdings once we're trading again, and pop it somewhere nice.
I'll take a look into IXR.
Do they have a feasability study yet?
Any projections on future valuations when it's developed?
Cheers.

Nice little presentation on Youtube.

So it looks like they're currently working on a Feasability study to be ready by October this year, and plan on applying for a mining licence at that time too.
I'll keep a close eye on this one, looks interesting.

Stakeholder support takes Ionic’s Makuutu project closer to development

Ionic has received a resounding show of support for its Makuutu rare earths project from the Uganda government and local stakeholders.

The company has successfully completed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) public hearings with over 3,800 registered attendees indicating keen interest in the project.

With this strong response for Ionic Rare Earths’ ionic adsorption clay-hosted REE project, the National Environmental Management Authority and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development are now working to complete final statutory requirements to evaluate the ESIA and provide a formal decision.

Meanwhile, the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) has moved into the final stages and will support Mine License Application, both of which will be completed by end October 2022.

The RAP will present the strategy to acquire land for the entire RL1693, which hosts Makuutu, over the life of the project while ensuring that Project Affected Persons (PAPs) – including vulnerable people – are not financially or socially disadvantaged.

With all PAPs already identified and the majority of their parcels of land mapped, the company will move to confirm the mapped areas and reach agreements with affected peoples to support land access once the ESIA is approved.

Makuutu is one of the rare proven IAC deposits – noted for their low costs and high magnet REE content – located outside of China and is of world-class scale with resources of 532 million tonnes grading 640ppm total rare earth oxides.

Most of this resource – 76% to be precise – is contained within the higher confidence Indicated category, more than sufficient to underpin the feasibility study.

Demand is high for magnet REEs which are key ingredients for permanent magnets that are in turn used extensively in electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Further exploration

Looking further afield, the company completed geological mapping of its EL00147 and EL00257 exploration licences to establish areas which have potential to contain clays with ionic adsorbed REE.

Once identified, such areas could be the focus of future exploration programs.

Ionic adds that during this field activity, it conducted community engagement and sensitisation to ensure that correct information is disseminated across the affected communities with regards to the overall activity planned and potential timeframes for the development of Makuutu.

Somebody shill me some uranium stock

Winenut

Go AVZ!
Somebody shill me some uranium stock
I reckon EL8 is worth a bit of research

Tenements in OZ and Namibia

Also an in house process they can apply to the resource and also for other customers I believe

I haven't dug deep

Disclosure: I picked up the shares for nothing through Marenica Energy which morphed into EL8

I cant even remember what the original Marenica Energy was spun out of but that was a freebie too

Go AVZ!
Tracked it down

Marenica was orginally spun out of Magnis Energy

I made some coin on Magnis but not in there anymore

From my holding of MNS I picked up the spin off holding MEY which then became EL8

Just so you know the history

Cheers

Some AVZ punters might be tossing around the green credentials of a coal project but I'm glad you posted

One issue for me in the green transition (which I fully support) is where does all the electricity come from to charge the potentially massive amount of EV's and storage batteries when everyone is shutting down the baseline coal and gas?

For me it's a balancing act

We can't just shut down fossils overnight and expect enough electricity to be available to charge all the EV's (cars, trains, trams, buses, transports, trucks, bulk haulage, worldwide govt fleets etc etc etc ) that are expected to come on stream in the coming years as well as provide the basic underlying power requirement for households and industry that currently exists

Don't get me wrong

I think the future is definitely greener but for me I think we need to be realistic about continuing to provide affordable power to all the people in the world that need it while ultimately transitioning the planet and all it's citizens to the better cleaner future
