BRN News: Media Alert: BrainChip CEO Presents at International Investment Forum 2022 - 16th Feb 2022, 12:32pm

Yeah…in response to my question about how many of the 15 EAP customers are yet to be named he said “…I think we just showed 4 and those are the only ones we are allowed to talk about right now…actually we have a couple of really interesting logo’s we’d love to put on there and you may see some new logo’s…but we have the logo’s…we’re working with them…we’re seeking more permission, so hopefully in the next update you’ll see a couple more names on there”.

Which I take to mean we will hopefully hear about a couple more EAP customers by the next quarterly report due by the end of April?!
If Sean Hehir considered his presentation an update then on 24 February, 2022 there will be another update which will be the next one. Just being overly optimistic perhaps but the Mercedes reveal makes an association with Brainchip just that little bit more prestigious.

My opinion and speculation only DYOR

Yeah, that's the part, could be the tipping point, if it sets precedent in terms of publicity, and how tight NDAs are in the future...

When Sean says he’s working on getting permission to reveal a couple more logos/EAP’s, I don’t think he will just release an announcement to the ASX that somebody is a EAP, why now and not 6 months ago?

Well my thinking is that not only will he potentially reveal a couple more “logos” but it will be something similar to what Mercedes has done and release what proof of concept they may be working on, probably through Twitter/LinkedIn and the like.

The last thing Sean and the company want to do is pump up the share price just for the sake of having more logos on the board only for it to come back down again without any substance, so IMO if/when they announce more logos I think we can be positive that there will be more than just a name reveal.

And what better timing then to announce it at the IIF & also just a couple weeks after the company has just been approved of the DTC, it’s all lining up very well!

I agree @chapman89. I think Rob Telson said something along those lines recently. He mentioned that the companies that are trying to maintain their competitive edge will stay silent until they're ready to launch their product to market. And at that time the shackles come off. So if we're seeing some new logos then surely we're going to be seeing the product/application as well...

I'm going to go out on a negative here. It won't be popular, but it's how I see it. I'm understanding of the company needing to play things close to their chests and they have NDA's. However this almost seems like a tactic these days not to give it's shareholders enough information. Break even after 2025, seems like a lot of growth still needed before we see significant revenue. I won't be buying any more shares for now, I have enough. I must say I thought we were closer to deals than I think we are. 2022 they'll continue to grow, but looks like the customers are still playing with the toys rather than taking anything to market in the near future.
I'm still very happy with my holdings, I'll follow the threads and look for interesting articles on BRN. Sean spoke well and I think in the long run BRN holders are going to be very well looked after. It's just going to take a little longer than I had hoped by the sounds of it. Good luck all, I think the patient will be (in time) handsomely rewarded.
Not being exactly sure when Sean's presentation would start, I got 4hrs of ugly sleep and sat through the crypto guy at 4.00am. Damn, that guy could talk under wet cement. Re BRN: Must admit I was not impressed at first. The dead bat to all things NDA is frustrating as, it must be even more so to those in our company who actually know the state of play. Have watched it back (@TechGirl (y)) and it's better the second time around.

Lots to like about our new CEO. The opening presentation of "We are the new standard for edge AI" and references to older tech, I think is a master stoke. After having a second look, I think it was the Q&A that put me off. I think many here asked Sean questions that were your classic 'Dorothy Dixer'. Our American cousins especially should be more attuned.

Need to remember these conferences are for potential investors, not us that are rusted on.

Eg:

Q: What is happening with Nanose.
A: Can't comment, NDA

Answer for potential investors......

"Exciting company out of Israel, have teamed with BRN in the past to detect Covid in breathalyzers at +95% accuracy. Can't mention any more at time due to NDA"

Rinse and repeat for every potential customer.

Life is not a dress rehearsal!
When Sean had the question when will we break even, I don't think he meant by 2025 we will break even, I took it as he went off the question a little bit & said something along the lines of, we are not focused on that we are in the growth phase & they are going to burn through cash until 2025 by growing our team, lots of marketing & spending on R&D
Thanks for providing this to all of us, TG. Much appreciated.(y)(y)(y)(y)

Just to add,

It's impossible to come up with a BE timeframe when you have no control over application development or when they'll be rolled out. It takes time. The process is exacting because if not done right, can make or break the company or be very expensive to rectify in dollars and reputation.

Hopefully BE will be a hell of a lot faster than Tesla though. BrainChip's main expenditure will be on R&D moving forward and marketing over the short term before Akida becomes the standard. Thankfully, BRN doesn't have to build billion dollar giga factories all over the world.

Agreed. Not needing to manufacture anything ourselves gives us a capital light business model. It appears that the majority of our sales will be through IP which is very scalable and high margin. Having low overheads helps to minimise debt and protect us during economic downturns,

We are destined to produce very strong cash flows and be a very profitable business.

Thanks so much for recording @TechGirl

I like how Sean has switched up the presentation and made it his own. Starting off his presentation with BrainChip being the new standard is awesome. He is speaking confidently.

A lengthy Q&A which was good to listen to.
I agree, but actually he’s not the first presenter of BrainChip technology to state things in terms of defacto standards, Robert Mitro at an early (2018?) AGM said that they hoped that in 10 years Akida technology will be the defacto standard in the industry. Interesting how Sean’s statement works right in with the same time line - shows that the goal posts haven’t moved from the beginning and everyone coming on board is buying into the same belief.

I think the presentation was very good, Mr Hehir clearly knows the possibilities with the chip and where to try to penetrate the market and do it as fast as possible.

He also wants to stay ahead of the competition and now they are hiring people in the US, France and Australia.

I can't really find anything negative to say at the movement, expect that I am very fearful that Russia (Putin) seems to want to invade Ukraine and causing a lot of uncertainties/fear for what will happen if they do.
I really really hope it's only sabre-rattling and Putins troops will return to their home base but I am unfortunately not too optimistic at this time.

It's unreal that humans have to fight wars in 2022, we can make smart chips, send at fold-able monster sized telescope 1.5 mill km's away to look into the past but we didn't learn from our own past which is ironic and extremely sad.

Hehir's communication is impressive. He bridges the sizable gap between tech-heads and investor. Very few people can do that, and the fundies will like it.

Further more maybe the Green Aspect could have been quickly presented at the IIF .
- i was very happy with the presentation - and the great team that we have with BRN Management.-(y)(y)(y):)

Hi Muzza
Just on the team Brainchip now has a world class head of marketing in Jerome Nadel. He quite clearly is someone that the new CEO Sean Hehir has a lot of time for given the way he speaks about him in this presentation and they are both on the same Silicon Valley board.

I was looking at the two different tables and what I saw in the second table with 'Available as IP' and 'Green Credentials' dropped off and 'on chip convolution' substituted as the last column Brainchip receives more ticks as a proportion compared to all the others and in reading across the table now it only gets better whereas the old table puts Intel and IBM back in the mix.

There has also been some bad publicity of late in the US and around the world with companies being caught out making claims about having Green Credentials. I am not suggesting that Brainchip is not legitimately a green technology company but Jerome Nadel is a psychologist who turned to marketing and it may be that these changes is all about the psychology of the message being given. By dropping off both the 'IP' and 'Green' credentials the absence of 'Green' appears less significant. There is no doubt AKIDA 'IP' exists and of course there is no doubt AKIDA is 'Green'.

Am I making this up well of course I am because I do not know what has been discussed at Brainchip but in my career selling a message in a court of law psychology played a very large part of how to get someone to listen to what I was saying.

Jerome Nadel was clearly employed for a reason and so any changes we notice to the way Brainchip is delivering its message will need to be considered through the prism of his influence and given his credentials Brainchip would be foolish not to follow his plans.

Great interview. Sean holds his own well and it must be difficult to speak freely while being constantly on guard not to reveal any of the NDA details etc. His answers still are well thought out and factual.

Indeed some of his general comments I found very positive.

From 38.37 he states "we are actively recruiting all the time" "All functions of this company are actively recruiting ".

Then at 39.47 he says "your gonna see a new set of technology released, for sure, this year. That's one thing you can book on"

And again at 40.18 "we are the new standard, because there's no question that this is where the markets going". "As the market continues to grow I would like us to become the defacto standard that comes in the market".

I am not really a tech person but can see these statements speak volumes about what is going on behind the scenes

Akida ballista!

I became annoyed reading the other poster but you have clearly a much better understanding about a growing business/enterprise.

If Brainchip is going to grow the way the new CEO Sean Hehir is predicting which involves the continuous development of the AKIDA technology and constant pursuit of market dominance to becoming the standard it in theory will never reach break even as its revenue will be constantly chasing after the growth that is running out in front.

Tesla is a perfect example of how this works.

If he had NOT presented this reality of what it is like in business to be hitched too a shooting star he would have lost complete credibility in my eyes.

Then the issue of Non Disclosure Agreements. What a complete load of misinformation and lack of understanding. Mercedes Benz was hidden behind an NDA since at least 2017.

The founders of the company Anil Mankar, Peter van der Made and Robert Mitro have suffered losses in the tens of millions of dollars because of capital raises diluting their holdings due to ridiculously low share prices.

These three men all knew about Mercedes and the 100 plus NDA’s but kept quite even though the absence of knowledge about these companies was destroying the value of their holdings permanently.

Why didn’t they just release these details. Any half intelligent wombat would know the reason. They were keeping faith with their customers who were and are seeking first to market advantage.

Quite frankly the failure of an individual to understand these basic principles of business should warn everyone that there opinion as to whether to invest in anything at all is completely valueless and should be ignored.

Hi FF , you’re hitting all your tee shots a long way down the middle as usual. I’m just catching up on your great and full responses. 10/10
Just to further acknowledge and highlight an extremely important point you touched on.
Management Integrity

When you’re an investor, IMO, this criteria is on the podium (1-2-3) as essential knowledge.
FF , as I have posted on numerous occasions, and as your post touched on.
“ Integrity “ = Brand building

BrainChip have been true and trustworthy ..
To their corporate responsibilities,
To their fellow workers
To their clients/partners
To their shareholders
and all other obligations of correct and expected behaviours towards others.

The BrainChip team Have in the past,
(as evidenced by your post ,of withstanding obvious temptations to Early reveal critical information Re Mercedes + others ),
Are Now doing,
and reliably going forward, Will in the future (where the past IS a good indicator of the future)
Will continue to operate with the utmost highest Integrity

Clearly , when you have this level of belief (myself), through past BrainChip actions, it beggars the question.
When there is an “ unknown “ ,

that you can carry confidence in Managements Integrity and processes.
The technology is Proven,Disruptive and Unmatched
It’s Patent protected and will be ,more so moving forward
As Sean said, BRN’s just gotta bang our drums harder and louder , and push the word out.

Patience’s people , it’s all coming together
It just takes time.
Happy Days

To keep or extend the lead will not be something Sean has to worry about as Peter and Anil area have that covered.
I liked his response to the question about military. He said some thing like we are not actively seeking them out... what he didn't say was those companies are approaching and already working with us. Of course I don't know if they are or not but I thought the way he answered he was hiding something.
I enjoyed listening to him. Lets hope he can convince an EAP or two to drop the NDAs before the end of this quarter.
