The second one was first posted here by @equanimous on 22 August 2022 which you can see on this link #2. You can see it's the same article (even though the pdf no longer links to anything) because of the following post from uix , which you can see on this link #3 shows the same information in the section detailing Figure 4.

I remember we all discusssed it at the time becasue they spelled AKIDA wrong.

It looks like they may have just updated this paper and in doing so corrected the spelling of AKIDA.

Since the 2019 demonstration, the technology has transitioned from a research prototype into a broader ecosystem of "Edge AI" solutions. TCS and BrainChip have targeted several industrial and consumer sectors for these gesture-recognition capabilities:

Automotive and ADAS: The platform is designed for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles, where gesture recognition can be used for non-distractive in-cabin controls, such as adjusting volume or climate through hand movements.[2] [7]
Vision-Guided Robotics: In industrial settings, TCS explores the use of Akida for human-robot collaboration, allowing robots to interpret hand signals from workers in real-time without needing a constant connection to a central server.[1] [3]
The Akida Edge AI Box: BrainChip recently unveiled the Akida Edge AI Box, a compact Linux-based appliance developed in partnership with VVDN Technologies. This product serves as a deployment vehicle for partners like TCS and BeEmotion to implement gesture recognition in retail, manufacturing, and healthcare environments.[8] [9]
Wearables and IoT: By combining Akida with Prophesee’s event-based cameras, the technology is being integrated into power-constrained wearables and AR/VR headsets. This enables "always-on" gesture sensing that consumes milliwatts of power, extending battery life significantly compared to standard camera-based AI.[10] [11]
The partnership continues to leverage Temporal Enabled-Neural Networks (TENNs) to improve the accuracy of spatiotemporal tasks, ensuring that gesture recognition remains robust even in high-speed or low-light environments

This actually is what people should be focused on. I am equally excited because in one swing of his IBM sword Kevin D. Johnson has moved the addressable market for
Brainchip’s AKIDA Technology from the Edge into the Cloud.

Now it was not just Kevin D. Johnson as he was enabled by the new Cloud version of Symphony released in October, 2025.

But just as that release was Brainchip’s good fortune the fact that Kevin D. Johnson has been minded to publicly share his findings has dovetailed very nicely with the TCS paper linked by @Champee.

Mercedes Benz sold 2.16 million vehicles in 2025.

According to a Google search IBM has 60 Cloud Server Centres around the world servicing the finance and medical industries. There is no number available for how many GPU’s are involved. In 2011 it was reported that IBM was serving over 26,000 customers across its earlier version of its current Cloud software.

Suffice to say the opportunity is greater with IBM than Mercedes Benz.

Honestly… objectively speaking… did anyone really think Intel would just sit and watch? They’re a massive player with resources BrainChip can only dream of. It was always clear that Intel has Loihi and that they would eventually put it to use …for me it was only a matter of time.

And in the end, we can’t serve the market on our own anyway. The question isn’t whether BrainChip will get a piece of the pie, but how big that piece will be. Time will tell.

I’m not afraid of competition … I’m more concerned that internally they might rely too much on past achievements and fall asleep at the wheel when it comes to go-to-market execution. If you position yourself as “leading,” that eventually has to show up in measurable sales success, design wins, or volume …otherwise it feels contradictory.

At the same time, as mentioned before… it could also be a tactical move that we simply can’t fully see from the outside yet. Time will tell. I’m not in Panik … I’m just pissed

Without anything solid being announced, we can't rely on Fluff Finder and his cult followers. I told yous we are heading down to 50 cents, then 20 cents, then 12-15 cents. So here we are about to down to single digit. God bless us all for putting up with this crap.
Even if we go up by 50%, the so is still worthless, then the next day it will be down by 60% because of profit makers. FFS! Sorry for the rant.

Hi SS,

I've been concerned about whether the Prophesee DVS can be in a mobile application, but apparently it is possible. Perhaps they tweak the firing threshold voltage of the pixels. I suppose the temporal capabilities of TENNs can be used to advantage with a mobile DVS. Maybe Akida could also be programmed to filter out the smaller spikes, say those less than 2 bits.

Historically, probably too small a population to internally generate many home grown visionary capitalists, a rare breed, with the grit and determination to endure the knocks required to bring something truly new, all the way, to fruition.

And, it's traditionally also been relatively easy to make a quid just digging it up, shearing it, riding it round, rooting it, harvesting it, surfing it, or betting on it.
Part of being "the lucky country," I guess.

Of course, we've had a few success stories, the stump jump plow, the furphy, Smithy and the Atlassian brother's along with cochlea implants and the water fired .303 left on turkish beach's to cover our withdrawal, but in the main, we have a habit of cutting down our taller poppies.
Probably a hangover from our original, largely convict ancestry.

And, like the "black box" many of our ideas get picked up and developed in more mature markets, with older, more experienced and patient capital.

It's often been the newly arrived migrants here, who see and appreciate with fresh eyes, what we both have, and lack.

But to establish something truly new and novel is often, frustratingly, the work of decades, requiring a lot of both time and sunk capital before success, sometimes, smiles upon it.
And there's also some measure of "luck" too.
Being in the right place, at the right time.

Maybe, just maybe, our time is nigh.
Decades in the making, maybe soon, we too, will be that latest "overnight success".
Lots of good people here, a few a'holes, be nice to finally have a win.

Would certainly hate to fall, or just give up, within sight of the finish line, just because I let some damn down ramper's propaganda
or FUD talking fear meister's negative agenda, into my head.

I'm going to hang on, and if they manage to push the price down further, take the opportunity to increase my holdings further still.

I haven't held this long to surrender my pile to the manipulators on the last lap.
