this is what our CTO Tony Lewis, who deals with LLMs professionally on a daily basis, thinks about Open AI’s claim that “GPT-5 is significantly less likely to hallucinate than our previous models”:

Your own opinion about GPT-5 is that “it has improved noticeably over its predecessor”, from which we can infer you must also believe hallucinations are now a much rarer issue, as this alleged improvement has been one of OpenAI’s main selling points with regard to their latest model.
In addition, you appear to be extremely confident about having the expertise to weed out the occasional hallucinations in the ChatGPT replies you get. At least those that relate to ChatGPT’s “main points”, which you claimed you would fact-check before sharing here on TSE “to ensure it’s not hallucinating”.
(How about hallucinations relating to minor points, though? Even inaccuarate minor points can distort our interpretation of things.)

I agree with Slade. That was one of the nastiest and most unnecessary posts I’ve seen on here in a while.

The problem with that statement is that everyone thinks their comments are valuable… just ask the bashers what they think about our positive comments.
I think, in general, everyone should decide for themselves what they want to read without adding their two cents just because they feel their competence is being questioned.
Like I said, as long as no one is directly attacked personally, everything is fine… a healthy discourse is a good thing. Both sides should be able to endure factual criticism.

What I can’t understand is why Mercedes Benz don’t simply just say “no, we haven’t included Akida at this time”. Why the uncertainty. UNLESS there is An Agreement in place that BRN don’t say anything until after MB do their product launch, and MB don’t say anything until BRN announce it to the ASX…and BRN are holding off until tomorrow to announce to ASX so the Americans are awake and MB have closed out their launch day…. Haha all speculation of course but im
