From Richard Wawrzyniak, Principal Analyst at Semico Research,
" “Advancements in AI require parallel advancements in on-device learning capabilities while simultaneously overcoming the challenges of efficiency, scalability, and latency. BrainChip has demonstrated the ability to create a truly intelligent edge with Akida and moves the needle even more, in terms of how Edge AI solutions are developed and deployed. The benefits of on-chip AI from a performance and cost perspective are hard to deny.”""

Semico Research – TechOnline
" Semico Research is a marketing and engineering research company founded in 1994 by a group of semiconductor industry veterans who believed that the validity of semiconductor product forecasts could be greatly improved if the forecasts were based on semiconductor consumption in end-use markets. Semico forecasts, today, are based on that idea."

Bascom Hunter is much closer than we think.
See link below.
Navy STP Workspace 2.0
As at the 4th quarter 2024v TRL 7 was completed. The final stage is TRL 9.
TRL 7 to 9 are the final steps to operational use for the DOD. Step 7 ticked off last Q 2024.
Testing How Different Agencies Align with Each Stage of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) | E.B. Howard Consulting
We are not aware whether the really big DOD suppliers are/have been trialing AKIDA 'privately' over the past few years. If not Hunter Bascom seem to have stolen the lead. The big DOD suppliers can pay for trials and for 'secrecy' bypass the SBIR process.
From the NAVY SBIR link it's obvious how easy AKIDA with BH is to integrate. Looks like we are on a winner here. Quote below.
"Ease of Integration - Traditionally, this novel of a technology would require years of engineering effort to
integrate our processor into a key weapons system. Bascom Hunter leveraged our expertise in designing
these high-technology prototypes to bake in SOSA-alignment and HOST-compliance, APIs and common
packet support (e.g., VRT, DIFI, etc.), and all in a mission-relevant 3U VPX form factor."

Hi @Frangipani

It started with a post by @Townyj
https://thestockexchange.com.au/threads/brn-discussion-ongoing.1/post-446438

Towny linked the LinkedIn photo in his post. You can see the link to the post and it leads to a page that is now dead:

Social media kid definitely fumbled the ball.

Thank’s, Sera2g!
Yes, I was aware of that post by Townyj, yet, didn’t end up including it, as it contained said link that now leads to nowhere, but neither a screenshot of the actual CES 2025 Day 2 LinkedIn post naming RTX one of our “partners” alongside Prophesee and Edge Impulse nor the photo in question nor a reference to the names of the three RTX visitors to the BRN CES suite.

After posting, I recalled that a few days later (back in January) someone (turns out it was Taproot) had wondered whether that LinkedIn post with the info about the RTX trio had possibly been removed, and that other users then replied and reposted saved screenshots of that now deleted photo.

So I scrolled through the posts made over the following days and discovered that on 14 January both Bravo and you had reposted the photo here on TSE:

Another exciting 'under development' by Bascom Hunter is "
" Bascom Hunter also works closely with Princeton University’s Lightwave Lab to bring cutting edge neuromorphic photonics to the warfighter."
My bold above.
Link: BH Tech | Defense Electronics | Bascom Hunter
"BH Tech’s Digital Product line is currently focused on Neuromorphic Processors. We integrate 3rd party neuromorphic processors into custom cards (including VPX cards) and deploy custom or customer algorithms onto neuromorphic processors. Bascom Hunter works closely with Princeton University’s Lightwave Lab to bring cutting edge neuromorphic photonics to the warfighter."
Link: Digital Products | Defense Electronics | BH Tech
Princetown University - Lightwave Communications research lab. Link: Photonic Spiking Neural Networks | Lightwave Communications Research Lab
Photonics: Using light (instead of electricity) for ultra-fast, high-bandwidth signal processing.
"We are developing a bio-inspired “photonic spike processor" that exploits the fast dynamics of lasers and photonic resonators to perform computations at extremely high speeds and bandwidths."
The combination of AKIDA and Photonics potentially make AKIDA 'ultra fast (light speed).
Its not a weapon rather its being designed to improve performance in 'war' conditions.

I wish I could paint like Vincent
This is worth a listen but particularly from 22.15 on for about the next 5 minutes.
A lot of what Sally is saying is right up our alley.
Enjoy
