Just got an offer to invest in sifive at 4.5billion valuation , they have been kicking big goals while we’ve been struggling
They just slot straight into von Neumann.

Still waters run deep.

We are a whole new beast.

Very rarely does a company come up with an invention as special as Akida. It is a real paradigm shift from von Neumann computing, and solves the problems that analog NN researchers have struggled with for years. Until Akida, a silicon NN was not practicable.

In performing inference/classification in silicon using sparse inputs and models without energy-hungry MACs, and performing on-chip learning, avoiding the necessity to retrain the entire model in the cloud, utilizing at-memory processing to avoid the von Neumann bottleneck caused by the need to retrieve data from memory for processing, as well as implementing N-of-M compression, Akida provides a solution to the ever-increasing power demands of AI.

In addition, Akida has been adapted to interface with the defacto industry standard 8-bit weights and activations.

On top of that, Brainchip has delivered the temporal event neural network, TeNNs, capable of processing time-varying data in real time in silicon or in software with even greater efficiency, relieving further workload from the von Neumann processor.

These ground-breaking developments have been delivered to a market set to expand exponentially and demand otherwise unsustainable power consumption.

The rapid advances in our technology have militated against immediate adoption of our SoC. However our more recent software offering is able to be implemented more readily. As the saying goes - "Stay tuned!"

This Monday awaits .... 30th September 2024 ...it is the last day in September and the end of this quarterly period ..... I would like to see some sort of actual ASX announcement either Price Sensitive or even at the very least a Non Price Sensitive Co Update in nature being actually lodge with the ASX ..... I'm sick of Co newsletters and podcasts which imo only promote the IR departments PR fluffy stuff they want us to hear, so as to make us believe that things are supposedly progressing, even though there have been no substantial revenue streams nor any new IP agreements being made for sometime now especially during our current CEO's tenure. IMO, there are also way too many unsubstantiated and dot joining poster's materials floating around here on this and other forums .....However, imo this is understandable given the Co's seeming " Cone of Silence " stance and somewhat reluctance to actually formalise information for s/holder discimination via formal ASX announcement either as Price Sensitive or Non Price Sensitive, as part of the Co's ongoing obligation to provide full and frank disclosure as part of their fiduciary duty to all s/holders.
X-ray

It’s pretty dam obvious that this board of directors and the leader Sean don’t give a flying fuck about the share holder.

I guess that saying absolutely nothing he can’t break any one’s trust or NDA’s

The real question is can you or do you have faith in Sean’s ability to deliver??
Can he get the runs up on the board
From where we stand we see nothing of amazing mile stones or nothing like signed contracts as yet
I give them another 9 months

Yeah ok, lol.
What's the urgency? Isn't this now a 10 year wait until revenue?

Gidday Believers..well, the next 90 days are going to be telling..quoting Sean, " this year, 2024 is going to be a critical year for our company."
" I know the dates that the company/ies are making their decision/s as to whom they will sign with."
" I hope to get a couple over the line later this year."
Antonio " Quite frankly, we've (the board) being giving Sean shit, that comment will probably end up in the papers."
AND FINALLY....
A big congratulations to my AFL team...what a year, well played guys, the entire playing group contributed yesterday, Chris Fagan what a humble, genuine human who can show real emotion towards his players..Brisbane Lions 🦁🦁🦁

I'm not sure if this has been posted already, but is it Sean that is in the photo below, with Mikhail Asavkin?

Have this almost 2-month-old article been posted before?

Likely, but here it is again.

Real-Time AI At The Edge May Require A New Network Solution

AI has the power to change every electronic platform, but what works in the data center may not work in an industrial edge platform like a security camera, robotic arm, or even a vehicle. There is no one-size-fits-all for edge AI because of space, power, data security, and performance-latency requirements, which means there is not one solution for all AI applications. Transitioning to edge AI requires new solutions, especially for on-device training.

The Current AI Model

Most AI models start in the data center with the training of a neural network model based on public and/or private data. As we have argued in the past, the expense of running AI in the cloud can be prohibitive from a cost, latency, and security standpoint. As a result, neural network models can be optimized by shrinking the model size to then run at the edge of the network on the device, commonly referred to as “edge computing.” This optimization is a delicate balance of reducing the size of the model while maintaining acceptable accuracy.

ForbesGenerative AI Breaks The Data Center: Data Center Infrastructure And Operating Costs Projected To Increase To Over $76 Billion By 2028By Jim McGregor
While neural network models and optimization techniques improve, using a scaled-down data center solution may not be optimal for many edge applications. Edge applications are often focused on the input of sensor data and require even smaller models with a high degree of accuracy and real-time, or close to real-time, execution for mission critical or even life-threatening situations. These edge applications may include healthcare, automotive/transportation, manufacturing, and security.

Event-driven AI

As an alternative, BrainChip has developed its Akida neuromorphic IP (intellectual property) solutions to support Temporal Event-based Neural Networks (TENNs), an event-based neural processing network architecture, in addition to traditional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and Transformer based neural networks. What this means is that a temporal (time) enabled neural network (TENN), or networks, is only operating during the time when a trigger event or input occurs. During other times, it is not computing and therefore not consuming much power. This can translate to higher performance, adaptability and lower real-time latency per event, input, or request and at a fraction of the power consumption of other AI solutions.

According to BrainChip, TENNs are ideal for processing various types of data such as one-dimensional time series and spatial-temporal data. TENNs is showing positive results in a number common applications, such as audio denoising, eye-tracking for AR/VR, health data monitoring (heart rate, SpO2), keyword spotting, Small Language Models (SLMs), and video object detection. TENNs ability to adapt to new input/events overcome some of the limitations of traditional neural networks while supporting future neural network models at a fraction of the die area and operating cost.
