According to RT, BRN will be located at booth 2-238 at the Embedded World 2023.
According to Embedded World's website, a company called AIZIP is in booth 2-238

AIZIP doesn't list BRN as partners but they do say they have new partnerships to be announced shortly.
Interestingly though AIZIP's link to their partnership with Renesas describes everything Akida does. (posted earlier @VictorG)
Yep, got all that.
Just got my curiosity metre pinging when @JK200SX said they were demonstrating Akida, which might not be quite right unless someone knows otherwise.

Aizip looks like an interesting startup, has a lot of very notable players following there progress.

Aizip Announces Processing-In-Memory License from Rice University​



Saratoga, CA, July 29, 2021 – Aizip, Inc., a Silicon Valley startup company providing leading artificial intelligence (AI) models for the Internet of Things (IoT), the so-called TinyML, announced that it has reached an exclusive license agreement with Rice University for their Processing-In-Memory (PIM) technology.



Over the last decade, AI has proven to be of tremendous value in improving the quality of life on many fronts. One of the most critical areas in AI technology development is power efficiency. In the AI inference process in an existing chip, most of the power is wasted in the data transfer between memory and computing units. Analog computing inside the memory, i.e., PIM, is widely considered to be the ultimate solution to solve this challenge, especially in the IoT market where low power consumption and low chip costs are essential.



Assistant Professor Kaiyuan Yang, a recognized leader in PIM research at Rice University, had done pioneer research work which focuses on the design of PIM chips for low power and high throughput AI applications. In a paper recently published in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, Yang's group, in collaboration with Northeastern University, presented the results of the first PIM semiconductor chip fabricated with industry standard 6T-SRAM technology. At the core of their innovation is a cell cluster structure based on capacitive analog computing. The device has been fabricated and tested to show one of the smallest reported 0.35-LSB root-mean-square computing error, and superior area and energy efficiencies over other schemes being pursued worldwide.



"The successful demonstration of 6T-SRAM based PIM hardware is a major breakthrough in the path to ultra-low power and low-cost AI accelerators," noted Gene Frantz, a professor in the Practice at Rice University, a member of National Academy of Engineering, and fellow of IEEE. Frantz, who has been called the "father of digital signal processing," served as a Principle Fellow at Texas Instruments. "The work by Professor Yang and his team demonstrates that PIM can be realized in CMOS semiconductor technology with excellent performance and efficiency, showing considerable potential for its transition into commercial applications."



"We are very excited to work with Rice University to bring this innovation to the market," said Dr. Yuan Lu, co-founder and President of Aizip. Aizip believes PIM is a cornerstone in the future of AIoT, or TinyML, and "we have developed extensive IP in AI algorithms and architectures," according to Dr. Lu. He further stated that "the combination of Rice's IP in hardware and Aizip's IP in application and software will provide a complete solution in the fast-growing TinyML market." "I am glad to see the enthusiasm from industry on our research results and to see a path towards real world applications," remarked Professor Yang.



Many semiconductor companies have invested in PIM or have shown strong interest in PIM in recent years. The power consumption can be expected to reduce by 100x or more in IoT application, which should stimulate a new breed of applications, especially in battery-powered mobile scenarios. Aizip plans to work with IC partners to design and develop the next generation low power, analog PIM for AIoT applications.




I think Aizip is all about their PIM AI Chip tech
Any future partnership with Brainchip would obviously be very exciting, but can't see any current connection yet.
Apart from them sitting on each others lap in the booth at Embedded World 😁

The Facts:

Rob who is a dentist because he keeps his identity secret has listed his house for sale. Rob spent a great deal of time researching his local agents and chooses Browns because they have the highest number of sales and listings in the last 12 months and the principle has received industry awards and has hundreds of compliments on his web page from happy vendors and purchasers complementing him and his team for their honesty and service.

As a result Rob tells Browns that he is in a hurry to sell his house and for the best possible price but he is stressed financially and will need to sell regardless of price. Browns advise Rob that in this market sales are occurring but days on market has increased and so given his circumstances the best strategy is to go to auction with a short but intensive marketing campaign and a number of open houses both on the weekend and weekdays leading up to the auction. Rob was impressed and signs the sales and auction agreement.

Rob a week later is having a coffee at his local café and starts talking to a complete stranger about real estate and mentions he has his house going to auction in two weeks. The stranger replies “I hope you do not have that useless mob Browns doing the auction. They are the worst agents I have seen in 30 years of being involved in real estate investing.”

The stranger is called for his takeaway coffee and leaves the café. Rob has no idea who this person was or what his motivation is but starts to worry about his opinion even though it is completely anonymous and directly opposed to everything he has discovered and his personal opinion having spoken with Browns.

The following day is the first open for inspection. Worried Rob parks up the road to watch. It is a Thursday and Browns have told him that being Thursday there is unlikely to be many people inspecting but it is important to get the message out as passing motorists will see the signs and start to investigate the online sales.

Even though Rob has been told this he becomes worried when only a couple of cars arrive and only a few people enter the property and he then starts to think that the stranger may have been correct.

Rob starts to ask friends and relatives if they think he has chosen the wrong agent. None of these persons live in his area and they all have no knowledge of the agents or real estate but some still venture opinions because everyone is entitled to hold and give an opinion.

They are of limited emotional intelligence and do not consider the consequences of giving such ill-considered uninformed opinions and when one is asked by his wife why he said what he did to Rob he said why would he take any notice of me anyway.

Unfortunately Rob does to the extent that it fuels his anxiety and he starts to worry so much he is loosing sleep. He reads negative things in the press about the real estate market and about a dishonest agent in another city and ignores that the sales figures for his area continue to exceed the national average and his agents excellent reputation. He completely ignores all the evidence that Browns keep performing and telling the truth to their customers.

The next open for inspection is on Saturday and this time the agent arrives and tells Rob that he expects a significant number of people to turn up because of the telephone and email traffic they have had. When Rob is leaving he notices a number of cars parked in the street and people milling around at the gate. Rob leaves.

The agent sets up the house and then positions himself at the front door ready to declare the house open. What the agent did not see was a shadowy male figure at the side window of the house watching as he went about his duties and that immediately he went out the front door that this shadowy figure quickly enter via the back door and relieved himself on the loungeroom coffee table and defecate on the carpet in front of the fireplace before quickly exiting out the back door and leaving by the side gate.

This shadowy figure then waited until all of the interested purchasers had entered to inspect the property whereupon he places notices under the wipers of the parked vehicles maligning the honesty and competency of Browns and recommending another property that is open for inspection with another agent two streets away claiming it represents much better value for money.

The question for you to answer is who is most likely to be the shadowy figure:

1. Is it Rob the home owner with the most at stake?

2. Is it a rival real estate agent trying to break into the area and attempting to destroy Browns reputation?

3. Is it the anonymous stranger who for his own personal reasons wants to ruin Rob’s chances of a sale to pick up a bargain having discovered that Rob has to sell regardless of price?

4. Is it a 'good' Samaritan trying to help Rob by exercising a right to free vandalism and speech?

Welcome back FF !!

I think it was Tech (sorry if it was someone else) that recommended the book "Culture Won" about ARM.

I purchased the book and find it an incredible read. The similarities are amazing and give you a greater understanding of; why various paths to market are taken, time to financial reward, importance of ecosystem partnerships, partners input and many more... especially culture.

I definitely recommend this book to better understand our own unfolding story.

Patience can be tested for so many individual reasons but I believe we are stronger than ever.

Excellent post, yes it was me who recommended that book, because while having a cup of tea with Peter late last year, he showed me on his mobile phone the book that he had read and was about to read it for a second time, I personally haven't read it all as yet, but speaking with Rob Telson recently, I mentioned the book, he agreed it is a great read, having himself been a former employee at ARM, but he did remind me that putting it into place or repeating their business model/culture isn't a sure bet as such.

But what I like is that, from the Founder down we are giving it a real red hot go, and isn't that the Aussie way, or should I say the Global Company way!

By the way, someone commented that Peter stated or implied we, Brainchip will achieve AGI by 2030, that's not what he stated at all, listen
to the Podcast carefully please, and asking for 3 years out was fair enough, but 7 years out was ok for a visionary, but way to far into the future
for a mere shareholder, some whom only hold shares for a matter of hours, let alone years!!!

Perth is where the magic starts, don't ever forget that, then Anil and his teams do the business, followed by the foundries, followed by the
developers and finally to the potential customers who may or may not buy the product, nothing can ever be taken for granted, but one thing is for sure, Brainchip is on a collision course with success!

1 January 2025, let's compare notes then.

Podcast talked about huge savings with predicting maintenance needs and preventing unplanned stoppages.
Health - imbedded device/chip in humans picking up problems/maintainence needs before they become huge. AKIDA learns and customises itself to you.
The size of the market for AI at the Edge is way underestimated.

Sounds like it was built to get short term commercialisation and sales.

He also said it was a product developed after listening to clients. Possibly why the AKIDA1500 has different specifications than the initial design.

I am now officially not going to criticize anyone and I am asking for a truce. That the the focus of this thread once again becomes dedicated to great research and that those wanting to voice their fears or complaints about management, lack of sales etc use the other thread that was created as it seemed to be working well until things got derailed. In fairness, I think it is reasonable to allow the next 24 hours a time when all that want to can throw their insults and accusations at me and I guess keep fighting each other if you want to. I will accept what anyone dishes out and I promise I won’t respond. Or alternatively screw it, let’s keep the status quo of this thread and accept the in fighting. It would however be a shame if we lose any members which has happened before.
agree with what slade says, call it a truce.....

all of us have different opinions but lets all not derail and stoop to an HC atmosphere.

loosing any member is not good, I have met many forum members at the last AGM - and all of us are invested heavily in our own capacity. prices have gone down so has SOME OF OUR patience (which is totally ok considering some of us have a lot riding on BRN). pateince will be well rewarded in brn's case,

But Tony Dawe has ackowledged that Brainchip needs sales and revenue.

How is this misleading? That is exactly what he has said in the email.

It's interesting when Peter was asked what customers are best suited to use akida, one of the first thing he said was facial recognition for doorbell market. This isn't the first time we've heard doorbells mentioned in a podcast. We must have a doorbell product out there somewhere!!

Not me! Lol. Only realised at the end that I needed to put the margin in for the primary game each week - so I had effectively said a draw would happen every week. Nevertheless - i still did better than any other time I have been tipping. Link to the winner below.

Now, given the arguments going on here today, I think I may have just diverted the sparring towards those who dislike the mighty Pies!! C'mon let me have it......
