My immediate thought for this particular use case is that it may have the potential to allow people who suffer from epilepsy to drive! All of us that can drive May take this activity of daily living for granted….but could you imagine being told… “if you wear these glasses we are going to grant you your freedom and you can now have a drivers license”!??

👍🏻
Towards the end of the video, you’ll see the person wearing the NEXA smart glasses sitting behind a steering wheel:

However, it remains to be seen how high the regulatory hurdles in various countries will be…

Check out this wonderful new use case: 😍

A collaboration with Omani start-up Onsor on real-time epilepsy seizure prediction in innovative smart glasses, incorporating both EEG sensors and neuromorphic processing capabilities thanks to AKD1500!

“At Onsor, we believe technology should empower people, not just assist them. That’s why we set out to create something truly life changing. A device that predicts seizures before they happen using AI. By integrating BrainChip’s Akida technology, we’re giving people real-time alerts, the power to take control, and the freedom to live with confidence. Great partnerships create breakthroughs. By integrating BrainChip’s Akida technology, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI and IoT. This collaboration isn’t just about technology, it’s about creating real-world solutions, like our neuromorphic seizure prediction glasses, that make a meaningful impact,” said Maadh Al Hinaai, CEO of Onsor Technologies.

The Onsor solution consists of a pair of wearable glasses incorporating EEG sensors, neuromorphic processing capabilities, paired with a user-friendly alert system on a mobile device. The key innovation is a seizure prediction neural network running on BrainChip’s Akida architecture, trained using Onsor data sets to achieve more than 95% accuracy out of the box with incremental learning and personalization algorithms to continuously increase accuracy for the user.

“Wearable devices such as these are only possible due to the innovation of Akida’s neuromorphic approach to produce ultra-low power processing and its ability to optimize the development and deployment of AI applications for the Edge. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with Onsor to advance the capabilities of this revolutionary product throughout its development and introduction into the market.” said Sean Hehir, BrainChip CEO.

Hi Tech

I have 1 question and hopefully you can answer it for me.

Antonio said at the AGM that if a big company signs a deal for 5 years the company is instantly profitable?

So, my question is we have 2 IP Licenses with Renesas and Megaships what sort of deals do these companies represent to us?

And were they signed cheaply or not up to the current level the current board wouldn't of signed off on

Thanks Jacob Kiraz

Hi Jacob,

From my understanding, we were very surprised when Renesas came out and signed an IP contract, for 2 nodes? I can't remember all the details,
but Lou was surprised at the time from my memory (happy for any poster to correct me).

When MegaChips followed a little while later they paid us $4 million (from memory) and we assume they started working on some type of
microcontroller inhouse, but as the company has stated numerous times, they can do whatever they want with their IP License, and deal with whomever they wish to interact with to produce a product for their own clients, as in, Nintendo for example, I personally don't think we have
had our technology integrated into the soon to be released Nintendo Switch 2 either, BUT will be very happy once again to be proven wrong.

As with Renesas, MegaChips run their own affairs and aren't obliged to tell us anything, even if our tech has been embedded into their or their clients products, that's for the individual companies to decide, NOT pressure from Brainchip, we are in the shadows, as ARM has been within countless products worldwide over decades.

As the finer details of contracts are never made public, I was never made privy to anything, despite what some on this and the other forum have tried to imply over the years.

Cheers Chris (Tech) 🤓

A recent Cambridge University Press research paper describing neuromorphic computing (SNN's) as a promising solution to realtime, low power environmental monitoring for:
  • air quality
  • water quality
  • seismic activity
  • avalanches
  • smart farming (including light, humidity, temperature, and soil moisture, to model crop health, yield, including seeding, seedling, pollination, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting).
  • nuclear explosions
  • oil and gas wells

This has huge International implications, in my opinion, as far as outreach and recognition of our Technology.
I think more so, than the Mercedes EQQX news.
It won't have the same effect, but the Future is looking really bright here, do they come in "shades"?..

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Brainchip were to release a non-market sensitive announcemant about this......Just for a change. It's obviously not under an NDA
