Happy that BrainChip have finally acknowledged Bascom Hunter,
Even happier to know that BH have signed a contract and whipped out the Cheque Book.
Seems AKD 1000 chips did the business and now it's AKD 1500's turn.
Could turn into big dollars if DOD, Airforce etc, are happy with the end products.

In late December, BrainChip signed a US$100,000 contract with U.S. defence contractor Bascom Hunter, for the sale and support of AKD1500 chips for full scale evaluation of commercial products, which will provide significant improvements over traditional CPU, GPU, and TPU processors and are considered optimal for low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) Machine Learning (ML) applications. Bascom Hunter works collaboratively with 3rd party technology vendors, such as BrainChip to integrate their technology for Defense and Intelligence applications.

Man i love going over and reading all the FUD being spread around. Bunch of circle jerkers who feed on toxic negativity. Soap box competition.. for the loudest voice. Definitely a few Sociopath's amongst them.

Anyway.. holding long holding strong. F the haters. :)

US President Donald Trump has called the rise of Chinese company DeepSeek "a wake-up call" for the US tech industry, after the emergence of its artificial intelligence (AI) model triggered shockwaves on Wall Street.

Shares in major tech firms such as Nvidia fell sharply, with the chip giant losing almost $600bn (£482bn) in market value.

What has shaken up the industry is DeepSeek's claim that its R1 model was made at a fraction of the cost of its rivals - raising questions about the future of America's AI dominance and the scale of investments US firms are planning.

There is only one way and that’s the BRN way, so If Nvidia brought us for even half at what they lost on the market today, they would probably earn x10 ❤️👍

I'm up at Bundy at the moment and just watched BRN get a mention on channel Ten news -"dropped 20% on DeepSeek craze"
Oh well you know what they say “There's no such thing as bad publicity” lol

Posted this on the Hypersonic thread, but meant for the general thread.

It might be useful for BRN to put out a compare-and-contrast between Akida and DeepSeek.

Maybe something along these lines:

A. DS is a web-based system, while Akida starts from the edge with lots of SWaP advantages: top-down v bottom-up.

B. DS's forte is the model-building process. Akida's forte is inference which is refinable by one-shot learning.

C. DS models are apparently have a high degree of sparsity (a good thing if done properly). Akida already uses exterme sparsity in its models.

D. DS use a lot of GPUs to build their models. Akida has an automated synergistic model-building process with Edge Impulse which incorporates ML.

E. DS is software-based. Akida performs inference and ML in silicon.

Edit:
F. Mixture-of-experts (MoE)* v RAG (Retrieval-augmented-generation)

G. ... and then there's TENNs ...

* MoE = copied from other LLMs

I have never read so many positive comments on Tony Dawe and our CEO and board of management on hotcrapper as today,oh management are listening to shareholders, Yeah rightI like to donate $100.00 to the old bloke who abused them at the last AGM, Just so he goes to the next AGM, They will probably move it to the USA so as not to cop a earful. LISTEN THERE NOT LISTENING,Pigs in the trough that’s all they are. What the financials yep we are watchin Sean where the fk are they???? Are you happy clappers still clapping??
And the best part of the 4c was of course, the same old bullshit of a Defence contractor contract imminent to be signed just to string the happy clappers along some more. Shareholder ain’t listen to bullshit no more look forward to AGM to vote these furs out.

I don't see DeepSeek as having a negative impact on BRN's business, although it may take a while for the ASX to twig.

It is hard to get your head around the tech generally, let alone the nuances which differentiate the various players.

However, there are largish differentiators between Akida and DeepSeek, edge/cloud, software/silicon, training v inference ... .

That's not to say we can rest on our laurels (do laurels have thorns?) - there is allways the chance that a competitor could spring from the bushes. However, our continuous stream of technological advances will help to ware off that contingency.

We must avoid becoming predicatble ... all that stuff about eternal vigilance:

Agree, cannot see to much of an issue. DeepSeek is hardware, we are software. Software requires hardware.
While they can perform on chip like us if you want true edge BRN's AKIDA provides low power, event based real time.
It may well be if you use DeepSeek for device Edge functions we may be best choice.
Its still early days.
Can't see Trump allowing essential Business (eg banking system), DOD, Security, Health being dependent on foreign software. BRN is for all intents and purposes a US company.

Our forthcoming all-electric CLA has a remarkable potential range of more than 750 𝐤𝐦 in the WLTP. This is thanks to a huge number of painstaking efficiency measures.

One major contributor to the amazing consumption of just around 12 𝐤𝐖𝐡/100 𝐤𝐦 is the new Electric Drive Unit (EDU 2.0). We developed this in-house based on the groundbreaking technology of the VISION EQXX.

The main drive at the rear axle incorporates an innovative 2-𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐱, which marks a 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. It combines dynamic response with excellent efficiency.

The first gear has a short 11:1 ratio for impressive off-the-line acceleration, high towing capacity and outstanding efficiency in urban traffic. The second gear, with its longer 5:1 ratio, is engineered for optimum power delivery at high speeds and for exceptional motorway efficiency.

The shift point between the two gears is dependent on the situation and the selected driving programme. It is continually optimised based on real-time parameters such as battery SoC, performance and driver requirements.

The driver, of course, senses none of this. Instead, they can simply enjoy seamless electric performance for miles on end.
