Hiya

I came here to post the same.

Left to Right:

Steve Thorne, Brainchip, VP of Sales
JP Wright, Brainchip, Regional Sales Manager
Bryce Nakamori, RTX Corporation, University Program Manager - https://www.linkedin.com/in/bryce-nakamori-5b55b939/
Sylvia Traxler, RTX, Sr Principal Software Engineer - https://www.linkedin.com/in/sylviaatraxler/
Geoff Martin, Raytheon Technologies, Strategic Engagements and Tech Solutions Manager - https://www.linkedin.com/in/geoff-martin-058500b/

Geoff Martin from Raytheon Technologies particularly caught my attention.
Responsible for assessment & solution guidance on innovation across the Raytheon product line to resolve key technical gaps.

In other words, Geoff has a platform with Raytheon to take innovation he discovers in his role in the RTX innovation programme and help facilitate adoption throughout the company. This is pretty exciting IMO as they have obviously become very familiar with Akida through the partnership on the AFRL neuromorphic signalling contract.

Geoff works at bringing key engagements/partners into the Raytheon Innovation Foundry.

One of the areas of focus at the RTX Innovation Hub

Personally, I find this far more exciting ( promising ) than the Mercedes Benz "partnership".
Adoption of BrainChip IP by Raytheon, should it happen, would be the ultimate company maker ( IMO ), and clearly the wheels are in motion to make this a very real possibility.

Guten Abend, @stockduck,

unfortunately, those Unigen Cup Cake Edge AI Servers currently sold do not yet contain Akida. On buyzero you can so far only choose between an AI accelerator from Hailo (€ 1569) and one from Blaize (€ 1989) - cf. the dropdown menu.

By the way, buyzero not only sells Akida Edge AI Boxes, but also Akida PCIe Boards.

What I really don’t get is why our company has officially announced the new AKD1000 M.2 Board and advertised it as being available on https://shop.brainchipinc.com/, yet, here we are more than 24 hours later, and the new product can still not be purchased online. Not a good look…

Could RTX possibly be the subcontractor involved in the AFRL contract from December announcement?
I think so.

Some Google search results are rather unanticipated:

There seems to be rising interest in playing with erm Akida on Edge Impulse from unexpected directions… 😆

Yesterday, that public project webpage still looked like this:

Today, the header is less conspicuous:

Maybe the person(s) behind this Edge Impulse project is/are still looking for volunteers to contribute to the data collection? Descendants of convicts named Eric Tile that were sent to Australia’s penal colonies should have an exceptionally good chance to be considered.

There is even a podcast about this uplifting medication (just in case anyone would like to find out more - all in the name of BRN research, of course… 😉)

Just as I thought… people are pulling their money out. No significant or price-sensitive news came out of CES. Unfortunately for us longs… let’s take a deep breath for another dive. Good luck to all of us 👋

Will we get another BrainChip podcast with someone from Infineon at CES, like we did last year?

In the meantime, here is a good interview with Sam Geha, the EVP of Infineon’s IoT, Compute and Wireless Business about the future of Edge AI, about smart stethoscopes, facial recognition for drivers of vehicles and other solutions for real life problems.

In a nutshell: “Edge AI is here to stay”

That’s right - Unigen even included the Akida AI option in the February 2024 Cupcake User Guide (as spotted by @BrainShit in April), but sadly we haven’t come across a single Unigen Cupcake with an Akida configuration that was actually for sale. It’s been more than a year since the partnership was announced (21 December 2023)

Actually, anyone involved in fairs and exhibitions should know that (not only) smaller companies take the opportunity to exhibit in hotel rooms. There’s nothing wrong with it, and interested parties do visit these exhibitions. 🤷🏻‍♂️
