BRN Discussion Ongoing

BrainChip isn't collaborating with Arm. We're just trying to model ourselves on them. We've hired their staff and nothing came of it. It's been quite delusional.
To be clear, What product do you think we are collaborating on?

Unsure if this has been shared given the post is 1 week old from Intel.

Given that BRN is linked to Intel Foundaries and they referencing their new AI P core and E cores this may be linked to us and potential revenue later this year.

Extract below

Lunar Lake was redesigned from the ground up to set a new bar for x86 power efficiency and unmatched #AI compute. It includes new P-cores and E-cores that deliver significant performance and energy efficiency improvements, a fourth-generation NPU with over 48 TOPS of AI performance – 3x faster than the previous generation – and an all-new GPU with improved gaming and graphics performance.

Lunar Lake is an example of our IDM 2.0 strategy that empowers design teams to select the optimal process technologies that meet our product timing and performance goals. These processors will power more than 80 different AI PC designs from 20 OEMs, as we expect to deploy more than 40 million Core Ultra processors in market this year...it’s a big year for AI PCs, to say the least!

Giving that we only just joined intel foundaries and the time it takes to get a product to market

Well 11 December 2022 isn’t just joined but I take your point it may well be in 2025 if this 3 year time frame is an absolute given with intel knowledge and development in the EDGE AI space

Also take in the time frame before BRN joined the IFS it will be getting up there timeframe wise of this 3 year development period before products produced. I’m even thinking given Intel involvement in Edge AI and one of the big boys the 3 year timeframe could be compressed. As always DYOR

BrainChip and Arm are collaborating to bring cutting-edge AI solutions to intelligent edge devices by combining BrainChip's Akida neuromorphic AI processor with Arm's Cortex-M family of processors, including the powerful Cortex-M85.

BrainChip has joined Arm's AI Partner Program, an ecosystem that enables developers to deliver next-generation AI solutions.

The partnership allows BrainChip's ultra-low power, event-based Akida AI processor to work seamlessly with Arm's widely-used Cortex-M processors.

This combined platform unlocks unprecedented levels of performance, efficiency and functionality for AI applications at the edge, such as advanced vision, video object detection and preventative healthcare.

The collaboration gives developers access to BrainChip's neuromorphic computing technology through Arm's extensive ecosystem and toolchains.

It allows BrainChip to assure compatibility of its Akida IP with Arm's product families and reach a wider market of AI developers and decision-makers.

In summary, by joining forces, BrainChip and Arm are poised to drive innovation in edge AI by combining BrainChip's ultra-efficient neuromorphic computing capabilities with Arm's ubiquitous processor designs and vast partner ecosystem.

“Our collaboration with Arm is set to unlock the next generation of intelligent edge devices with unprecedented levels of performance and functionality, “said Rob Telson, BrainChip Vice President of Ecosystem and Partnerships. “We look forward to joining Arm on their Tech Talk presentation and educate listeners how Akida and the Arm Cortex-M85 will deliver capabilities not previously possible.”

No. Brainchip are a client of Arm. We licensed their IP to create our Akida1000
Arm have never licensed our IP. They have created their own Ethos-u85.

i.e. Brainchip have paid money to Arm, via Socionext BUT Arm have never paid us anything.

A collaboration means that there is a budget, and that both sides have put in $, with an expectation to earn revenue.

We have nothing, and will never get anything out of Arm.

Better to look for dots that join us to a company making an actual product that will work on the edge, and be sold to customers.

Sorry but please don't shoot the messenger.

Have a break champ. Counting your money every day and putting all your insecurities on display isn't helpful for your health, nor relevant to this forum.

@Iseki could be your mentor, even tho it struggles too, but you will have a lot to learn and it might be great in the long run.

Life is too short to be miserable and posting on here with all your insecurities when you could be focussing on your own health.

It's OK to ask for help.

I don’t know where some people take their info’s from… I take them preferably from the brainchip website and from their partner

“BrainChip successfully demonstrated Akida's capabilities with the Arm Cortex-M85 in a functioning environment, paving the way for a new generation of intelligent edge devices. This marks a significant advancement for BrainChip, showcasing their commitment to developing high-performance and efficient AI solutions.”

As you can see no GIF needed

Regarding time-frames to market I grabbed this from a post almost two years ago. In this video of Arm's Rene Haas being interviewed by Bloomberg business channels Emily Chang, Mr Haas is saying that product timelines take 3-4 years. See specifically the 3 minute 40 second mark on the following video. I think Mr. Haas knows what he is talking about.

Although he states "3 to 4 years", I personally would think 4 years is likely more pertinent to Brainchips situation, so you are in the ballpark, The Pope.

That would make Renesas or Megachips, for example, producing something with Akida technology in it probably around 2026 I speculate. I hope I am wrong and that the revenue numbers Sean Hehir wants us all to watch start to increase exponentially before then.
As far as anything from Intel, and when.......who knows?

Thanks, ... dippY
