You're right - I'm confusing the Ethos U55 NPU which will be an either/or choice - goose quill or laser printer. But isn’t Helium the equivalent of the vector extension technology that is also found in SiFives X280 intelligence chips? The X280 can work with an AI coprocessor such as Akida, so in my mind Helium can do the same - but this could all just be fanciful thinking on my part of course![]()

Mercedes prepares to launch first electric Maybach SUV
Maybach, the ultraluxury sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz, is preparing to launch its first zero-emission, electric SUV on April 17, 2023, at Auto Shanghai in China.
The automaker first revealed a luxury SUV concept five years ago at Auto China Beijing. Although the German automaker said the vehicle would feature four compact permanent-magnet synchronous motors and an all-wheel drive system capable of 750 hp output and a top speed limited to 155 mph (150km/h), plans have likely changed over the years.
Three years later, in 2021, Mercedes unveiled a Maybach SUV concept model of its EQS electric sedan, claiming it was “near-production” at the time.
Mercedes hasn’t released the full details yet, but since it’s based on the Mercedes EQS SUV, we are expecting it to be more powerful than the 580 4MATIC SUV, with 536 hp and 633 lb-ft of torque. The 580 4MATIC is powered by a 108.4 kWh battery, giving it up to 285 miles range.
On the inside, the Maybach electric SUV is expected to include the upscale amenities of a Maybach with ultraluxurious upholstery and a customizable experience.
Like the Mercedes EQS SUV, Maybach’s first electric vehicle is expected to include the latest in technology and design with intuitive touch interfaces and other user-friendly features.

As you can see, Mercedes Maybach is not giving away many details about what to expect, with the lone teaser image of the SUV completely covered. Check back next month, as we will have the full details around the launch.
The company will reveal the series-production model on Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Auto Shanghai in China and later digitally on the automaker’s website as well as its YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter channels.
Mercedes-Maybach also revealed its first plug-in hybridearlier this year, the S 580 e sedan, with around 62 miles (100 km WLTP) of all-electric range, twice that of Toyota’s Prius.

Providing we hold above the 40 5 cents low we have a possible bull set up in play. I posted on this the other day.Abba solutely.
We actually had a little win today. We had been getting to .47c intra day a few times before falling back
Today we managed to hold on. I'm confident we'll have days in the not to distant future where we move up .47c in the day.
Go you good thing.

Following Qualcomm's Embedded World 2023 announcement of new IoT processors designed to support four major operating systems, Primax is announcing a reference design partnership for a QCS6490 based IoT gateway platform specifically designed for Fleet and Industrial IoT applications. High compute capabilities and a strong feature set make the QCS6490 a versatile solution for next generation edge processing devices such as cameras, gateways, industrial automation equipment (IPC, PLC), autonomous mobile robotics, and more.
The Primax developed QCS6490 reference platform will support multiple wireless interfaces including Wi-Fi 6, BLE 5.2, Thread, and LoRa, and allow for integrating up to eight cameras, connected via AHD, PoE, USB(UVC), or Wi-Fi. The platform is capable of supporting multiple wired or wireless sensors and will offer integration with the vehicle's on-board diagnostics system, and 5G or LTE network connectivity. Primax's own design not only encompasses dual-mic echo cancellation and noise suppression, ELD compliance, but also precision camera image via spectra DSP pipeline tuning.
"As a global leader in edge computing and vision technologies, Primax Electronics is committed to serving our clients with the most advanced technologies for machine vision and Industrial IoT applications. We are proud to continue our close collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to help widen support for the management of physical assets and further enable our clients to bring cutting-edge products to market. Our QCS6490 reference design will not only accelerate product time to market, but also empower developers to drive innovations in AI and edge computing." said Jason Hsu, Vice President of Primax Connected Mobility Business Unit.
"Qualcomm Technologies is proud to power the Primax reference platform and to advance Industrial IoT application use," stated Dev Singh, vice president, business development, and head of building, enterprise and industrial automation, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. "Collaborations between Qualcomm Technologies and Primax Electronics continue to accelerate the future of fleet management with state-of-the-art technology behind it."
Founded in 1984, Primax is a global leader in Vision, Audio, and Human Machine Interface technologies. Headquartered in Taipei with operations across Asia, North America, and Europe, Primax clients include some of the world's most respected consumer, industrial, and automotive brands.
