Incorrect! Shorters do not own the underlying assets. They are borrowed shares and hence must be returned at some point.
I know, just stating at this rate they will owe a total of maybe over 150 millions shares which they are only borrowing and owing 150 million share would probably make ‘‘em the top holders

Plumerai also vocal on LinkedIn just now about the M85 and tagging in Renesas and Arm execs

Plumerai partnered with Renesas Electronics and enables Plumerai People Detection with 13 fps on a microcontroller! This greatly outperforms any other MCU solution.

We achieved this result by combining the new Renesas Helium-enabled Arm Cortex-M85 with Plumerai People Detection AI. And instead of relying on Arm CMSIS-NN we optimized the Plumerai Inference Engine for Helium and gained an additional 2.7x speedup.

Looks like the shorters are coming after WBT

Probably why they gone quite on the other side and if I was a holder of WBT knowing what I know now about how they have brought down BRN, I’d be selling out

What is the real evil of short selling. It is the multiplier effect.

In the present case you do not need to own 150 million shares to create 150 million short positions.

To explain:

1. I have 50 million shares and I lend them to you for 6 months.

2. You open your short position by selling 50 million to Institution A off market.

3. Institution A then lends the 50 million to Blind Freddie for 6 months.

4. Blind Freddie opens his 50 million short position off market by selling to Institution B. We now have 100 million short positions open.

5. Institution B then lends 50 million to Jack who opens his short position by selling off market to Institution C. We now have 150 million short positions open.

In theory there can be more short positions open at any one time than there are shares on issue. Now that would create one hell of a short squeeze.

In any event how can fake positions create an equal market for all participants.

I agree, we do not want others having the ability to in effect sub licence. We lose control of Brand security. We do not want to risk Brand damage.
Having said that maybe it was the only way Mega chips would sign up???
Just saying we need to negotiate based on the amazing value of what we bring. That is a special deal with a friendly company, who actually wants to be transparent and they will promote the value of Brainchip in their company’s product while we promote the capabilities of the company with our technology. Can’t be that hard.

Our SXSW talk is right around the corner!

On 15 March at 11.30 am CST, I’ll be taking part in a featured session on “Autonomous Driving: More Time to Do What You Love”, joined by RJ — from ZYNC and Austin Russell from Luminar Technologies.

We represent three very different companies of very different scale and at three very different stages of development. Yet we all bring exciting innovations to the table that promise to transform the in-car experience. This is a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

Convergence of this kind is also what SXSW is all about, and I’m really looking forward to my first visit. If you’re attending, come along to the session and hear what we have to say.

If you can’t be there, don’t worry, I’ll report back on the experience right here!

I love this comment.
Not because it's true, but because it demonstrates exactly why the likes of Shareman, Mdiddy, Dawgfather etc bother going on the crapper.
Think for yourself for even two seconds.

I'm not going to bother explaining why Brainchip is doing just fine right now, as I wouldn't want to influence you any further.
Imagine being Dio, FF, Uiux et all posting genuinely useful content in a sea of complete mindless rubbish.
I'm genuinely embarrassed to be part of this discussion, why is everyone expecting 10x returns within the first few years of commercialisation?
This is the ASX not crypto, if you expected a lambo after a few months holding you're doing it wrong.

These vehicle should be taken off the road and deemed defective and unsafe.
I think everyone must understand that Lithium Ion Batteries Have a an inherent quality that, conditions providing, will have a situation called Thermal Run-Away (Internal Shorting). This is a problem with most EVs. Not just Teslas. EV scooters, bikes, cars, buses. Fire Safety Services are now recommending that people do NOT charge devices in house due to fire risk. Read the News, regular reports of EV Battery fires. Any EV, until we find a reliable and efficient alterative to Lithium Ion Batteries at Economic Scale. Tech is coming, Batteries are improving and watch this space

The market is down and heavily shorted stocks are down even more.

Except for the share price where do I go to find the bad news released by or published about Brainchip to account for the present fall in the share price?

Of course one could blame management and point to another Australian tech company which despite their brilliant management they are down as well so today is not down to any failing on the part of management it would seem.

Another Australian tech company DRO has income and is by reason of being engaged principally with government military contracts immune to world wide economic disruption is also down. So having income does not help this week.

I don’t like the price of my shares falling but that is what happens in the stock market and why someone who knows said ‘it’s time in the market.’

Well said @Fact Finder today market just went crazy. and at the same time my BRN holding went into Red after holding in Green for sometime. I was holding then and when ever i can accumulating then and accumulating now. Yes it hard to see in the red but hey did i sell it when it was very green no will i sell when its red no. Infact bought small parcel again today. Like @sb182 said i maxed out my super as well. cant buy more. well share market is a gamble and can be addictive. Been a long term holder hopefully can hold for some more years, as human patient goes and you make decision at the point no once can understand right. Cheers
