As far as I understood, Valeo was not mentioned, only Luminar was mentioned, unfortunately I wasn't there from the beginning

I would've hoped we got a mention on atleast the battery management system/extended range capabilities as demonstrated previously in the EQXX.

we were just watching harmless tv the movie was called "mercedes"

bored watching tv GIF by Garfield
My interests grow up as Mr. Chief Software Ingenieur from Mercedes talked about the hardware layer and the software layer and the flexibility this system has for mercedes in the future. My thought was that maybe there could be an seperated IP from Akida AI in the hardware layer ...but maybe not.

I think they mention new partnerships in presentations and BrainChip has previously been introduced so no need to do it again even if we would have liked it. We also know that Brainchip and Mercedes do continue to work together.

There’s a Q&A in less than ten minutes, everybody hijack it and ask about neuromorphic, but don’t specifically mention Brainchip!

So, which aspects do you think we are working on together?

Can someone record this please?
Don't want to miss it like last time with Valeo 😂

Learning to the Top 🕵‍♂️
Neuromorphic computing has a good chance to be the leading technical approach for AI acceleration at the edge.

There are almost too many choices today in silicon AI acceleration, long gone are the days of “GPU is the only way to go fast in AI”. Many of these new choices are welcome as the one the side fits all paradigm does not work for all use case scenarios. The data center or the cloud are no longer the only environment where computing happens; some of the workload need to run “on the edge” where power consumption & footprint are critical, especially as one must scale tiny edge (e.g., sensor) and/or fat edge (e.g., satellite). Neuromorphic computing approach takes a radically different approach to implementation of AI algorithm, it does not brute force try to imitate the features of human brain and scale, but leverage the principles behind the brain decision making process, craft the silicon to achieve the desired goals and, in most vendors’ case, thrive to minimize the power & footprint budget for both tiny and fat edge deployments.

One question could be,
Can you differentiate between this new tech platform and the Eqxx tech platform

I can't seem to register, do others have the ability to do so and ask the question?

so I couldn't register, I could only listen, as I saw it, the people in the room were asking questions

Wow, set my alarm for 5 a.m. to watch the presentation and I’m glad I did. That whole team were exceptional.

Each area of the vehicle, system and partners were explained. Representatives from NVIDIA, GOOGLE, LUMINAR briefly spoke about the collaboration. Unfortunately BRAINCHIP was not mentioned however I don’t see that as an issue. The way I see it is that BRAINCHIP is behind each sensor and feeds relevant information to NVIDIA’s operating system which has overall control of the vehicle.

Time and time again, especially when being asked questions during the Q & E it was emphasised the technology was incredibly sophisticated and advanced, (science fiction even).

Each member spoke confidently, pragmatically and with class which was very refreshing.

To hear how Mercedes Benz partners were carefully chosen to have the best in class working with them was reassuring to know that BRAINCHIP is regarded as their best option is fantastic. The fact we are in the same vehicle and our technology was chosen over others lets me know we are on path to success!

Top 20

There is a camera on board that tracks the drivers eye movements to ensure they aren't watching the passenger video screen. There is potential use of Akida here.

Bad news is that hey Mercedes seems to have been dropped in some capacity. 🥺 Not clear if it has been scrapped altogether or only for certain commands.
