They shorted the F out of that but they did their research pretty thoroughly
You mean, more thoroughly than the concept of shorting for the sake of the absence of a company releasing regular ANN's to the market?
They shorted the F out of that but they did their research pretty thoroughly
Correct. There cannot be any other take on it IMO.They had no choice really, to correct such a blatant error, but I strongly disagree, that it was a "genuine mistake, nothing untoward there"...
The entire article was based around the loss per share, making a dividend inconceivable.
Even to write an article, on whether a company is paying dividends, that has only just begun its commercialisation journey, is purely nefarious, in my opinion.
For all we know, they probably have been shorting the fk outta brainchip using the fact that there weren't many significant news/updates in the past to sustain the price and they will prob get back on the ride with us when theres news.
The companies on the top shorted list are not doing so well if you look at their charts. But of course, the big difference is that Brainchip has massive potential and one announcement can prob burn them to ashes.
I am waiting for MegaChips' annual report which should be out by end of September and Brainchip's quarterly report in October!
WELL ONLY 5 MORE TRADING DAYS FOR THIS FINANCIAL QUARTER- and how many shorts still outstanding-Yep - that's it. The more news is released by a company, the less likely a company is to be shorted.

The head bone connectet to the neck bone ...Hey Brain Fam,
This article published 23 September 2022 must be the best example I have seen to date that indicates what I think is an undeniable link between BrainChip and Qualcomm IMO. Of course, it can only be construed to be undeniable if you accept all of the following points to be true:
- Mercedes has described BrainChip as the "artificial intelligence (AI) specialist".
- Mercedes (Vision EQXX) voice control system which was developed in conjunction with BrainChip is said to be 5-10 times more efficient than conventional voice control systems.
- Mercedes-Benz have just announced they will install hardware from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis with the new hardware coming onto the market as early as 2023.
- This new hardware from Qualcomm is said to enable easier operation with the primary focus being on voice assistants that support more natural communication than before, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Yes for Brainchip, just look at the past trend, no news leads us to drop hard...Yep - that's it. The more news is released by a company, the less likely a company is to be shorted.

The head bone connectet to the neck bone ...
The round builds further momentum for Prophesee in accelerating the development and commercialization of its next generation hardware and software products, as well as position it to address new and emerging market opportunities and further scale the company. The support from its investors strengthens its ability to develop business opportunities across key ecosystems in semiconductors, industrial, robotics, IoT and mobile devices.“Gaining the support of such a substantial investor as Prosperity7 adds another globally-focused backer that has a long-term vision and understanding of the requirements to achieve success with a deep tech semiconductor investment. Their support is a testament to the progress achieved and the potential that lies ahead for Prophesee. We appreciate the rigor which they, and all our investors, have used in evaluating our technology and business model and are confident their commitment to a long-term relationship will be mutually beneficial,” said Luca Verre, co-founder and CEO of Prophesee.
Prophesee’s approach to enabling machines to see is a fundamental shift from traditional camera methods and aligns directly with the increasing need for more efficient ways to capture and process the dramatic increase in the volume of video input. By utilizing neuromorphic techniques to mimic the way that human brain and eye work, Prophesee’s event-based Metavision technology significantly reduces the amount of data needed to capture information. Among the benefits of the sensor and AI technology are ultra-low latency, robustness to challenging lighting conditions, energy efficiency, and low data rate. This makes it well-suited for a broad range of applications in industrial automation, IoT, consumer electronics that require real-time video data analysis while operating under demanding power consumption, size and lighting requirements.“Prophesee is leading the development of a very unique solution that has the potential to revolutionize and transform the way motion is captured and processed.” noted Aysar Tayeb, the Executive Managing Director at Prosperity7. “The company has established itself as a clear leader in applying neuromorphic methods to computer vision with its revolutionary event-based Metavision® sensing and processing approach. With its fundamentally differentiated AI-driven sensor solution, its demonstrated track record with global leaders such as Sony, and its fast-growing ecosystem of more than 5,000 developers using its technology, we believe Prophesee is well-positioned to enable paradigm-shift innovation that brings new levels of safety, efficiency and sustainability to various market segments, including smartphones, automotive, AR/VR and industrial automation.” Aysar further emphasized “Prophesee and its unique team hit the criteria we are constantly searching for in startup companies with truly disruptive, life-changing technologies.”
I’ve been thinking about downrampers this week and I thought what if it’s the opposite funding negative articles and HC sh$tposters, what if there’s an active downward pressure campaign to counter balance someone actually buying large amounts perhaps via a nominees account without causing a short squeeze slushy which might cost them twice as much much for the same sharesHere's the reason for Motley Fools blatant lies I reckon..
Aggregate shorts have increased by almost 17 million borrowed shares!
The more than 10 million additional shorts taken out on the 16th of September, have just further pushed them into the tar pit, awaiting the lightning strike, that will burn them to ashes
I couldn't be happier, with that result, from their short attack, on that day.
Retail are clearly not selling and institutional are likely buying.
Shorting a Company, that has the goods, is sheer stupidity..
I am afraid to say it would be illegal for us to agree to do it. I was speaking about the hypothetical possibility of say it happening when the next predictable price sensitive announcement relating to a granted patent is released. New patents are usually not the cause of mass buying or FOMO but could be a trigger for frustrated disillusioned retail to act in this way.
It would be interesting to see how sophisticated the algorithms are that Brainchip competitors sing the praises off as providing their own version of Edge Ai solutions.
My opinion only DYOR

I don't want to spoil any fun but isn't that journalistic freedom and enthusiastic a bit too much of it, a bit misleading? BCG doesn't know Brainchip or doesn't list us in their rankings. I can't find us at least with them.22.09.2022 | 05:58
MODERNA, BRAINCHIP HOLDINGS, INFINEON – AND THE WINNER IS?
For many years, the management consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has chosen the 50 most innovative companies in the world. A few days ago the hit list was published for the 16th time. The first places are occupied by Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Tesla. German companies are found only with Siemens from 20th place. Innovations play an important role for investors because they enable competitive advantages, which sooner or later is reflected in rising prices. But it doesn't always have to be global corporations, it's often lucrative to take a look at the second tier.
TABLE OF CONTENTS:
MODERN – AT THE END?
BRAINCHIP HOLDINGS - UNIQUE
INFINEON – BETTER THAN THE COMPETITION
BRAINCHIP HOLDINGS - UNIQUE
The Australians are the world's first commercial manufacturer of neuromorphic AI hardware. The processor called "Akida" is characterized by extremely low power consumption, high performance and the combination of neuromorphic design principles and modern machine learning algorithms. Using a neuromorphic architecture, a type of artificial intelligence inspired by the biology of the human brain, makes all the difference.
Experts rate this as the most efficient solution ever produced. The property of independent learning in particular opens up many fields of application that will be important in the future - the Internet of Things, autonomous driving or robotics are among them. The company is still working in the red, but commercial production continues to pick up speed, the mass market is the next milestone.
BrainChip recently shone by being included in the AI partner program of the global semiconductor giant ARM. The ecosystem of hardware and software specialists, which should enable developers to develop the next generation of AI solutions, forms another building block in the market penetration. The company is currently valued at the equivalent of EUR 1 billion. Analysts see great potential and expect the share to achieve another upside of 83% on average.

Any attempt at jacking the price up, by an operation like the Motley Fool, if it were to benefit shorters, is for them to sell into.True. What's the opposite of untoward? Toward? haha
Yes, in hindsight, it is a nefarious article. Tie that in with their recent positive BRN article, it was likely to jack the price up at the time prior to their mates borrowing the shares.
That's all true too..I’ve been thinking about downrampers this week and I thought what if it’s the opposite funding negative articles and HC sh$tposters, what if there’s an active downward pressure campaign to counter balance someone actually buying large amounts perhaps via a nominees account without causing a short squeeze slushy which might cost them twice as much much for the same shares
They did say brainchip is on the 2nd tier of innovative companies. So maybe next year brainchip can make its way onto the 1st tier big boy/girl listI don't want to spoil any fun but isn't that journalistic freedom and enthusiastic a bit too much of it, a bit misleading? BCG doesn't know Brainchip or doesn't list us in their rankings. I can't find us at least with them.
I refer to my most recent post (see above) so that when reading what I’m about to say, you can see that I’m a deadset true believer.Although I have previously put this proposition to you, I would like to do so again.
There is a great deal of healthy discussion and debate about competition and what percentage of various markets we can expect. Man years are spent dot joining and considering whether this company or that application could involve Akida.
I would simply like to say this…it doesn’t matter what industry, what company or what application anyone here would like to nominate, it will only realise it’s full potential by using Akida.
Any other solution will be inferior at best, and very likely to condemn the organisation and those proposing it to the pathway of the dinosaurs.
My challenge to the 1000 eyes and any Doubting Thomas’s is…convince me that there is a reliable, resilient, proven alternative to Akida that will realistically appear anytime soon.
It's ok for me this is not a big newspaper or magazine either. They did say brainchip is on the 2nd tier of innovative companies. So maybe next year brainchip can make its way onto the 1st tier big boy/girl list

Still a way to go yet over the next 12 months.... we live in extremely uncertain times.
Hope my crystal ball is way off.
Absolutely nothing to do with Brainchip or its technology present or future... we really have no control over how things will play out.
Purely on open opinion, it's absolutely ok to totally disagree.
