I read this about a year ago, and its nothing new that's LTH don't know. However for new BRN shareholder. I thinks its a must read paper.

Thanks @Fact Finder. This is a terrific summary as to why AKIDA is a game changer!

You state "There are however many things happening at the Edge which do not require functions to be performed at the Edge but elsewhere in the public Cloud or private Cloud ..... if you could put some compute at or next to the sensor and by so doing pull out the relevant or needed information it could dramatically reduce bandwidth and latency and connection quality ".

The recent thread started by @uiux about Microsoft Azure helps to then conceptualise use cases where this vital relationship may exist between AKIDA at the edge and the processing that may occur in the cloud for Brainchip's customers.
Interesting thought - Akida's speciality is classification/recognition.

I really don't know how search engines work, but but I reckon they do a lot of classification/recognition.

Brainchip studio is very good at classification/recognition, and has been enhanced in the ADE/MetaTF/Akida Execution Engine.

Now that we've got Akida 3000 pretty much in the bag, will we be able to turn some of our efforts to making a web crawler and put Google, Yahoo etc. out of business - or will we just licence the tech to them?

https://brainchipinc.com/brainchip-...gine-within-veritone-aiware-brainchip-260418/

BrainChip Studio is the result of more than ten years’ development. It uses an artificial intelligence technology called a spiking neural network, a type of neuromorphic computing that simulates the functionality of the human visual tract. Unique to BrainChip’s spiking neural network is the ability to be instantaneously trained with a single image – called “one-shot” training. Using this technology, BrainChip Studio aids organizations to rapidly search vast amounts of video footage for objects or faces.

“BrainChip’s one-shot training for object search and facial classification provides a capability not found in the other cognitive engines in the aiWARE portfolio,” Mike Morper, VP Product Marketing at Veritone, commented. “We anticipate this capability will be vital for many of our SaaS and on-premise customers in the media, government, and law enforcement markets.”

“Through our collaboration with Veritone we are adding a new distribution channel for BrainChip’s spiking neural network technology,” Bob Beachler, BrainChip’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, said. “In addition, the Veritone aiWARE platform is essentially future proofing AI, with a complementary and continuously-growing portfolio of cognitive engines and applications that can serve as a robust solution to our mutual customers
.”

We have a unique relationship as we worked together for almost 30 years very happily. She knows me very well and despite that she trusts my judgment and refers to me as her legal and financial adviser.

I also tend to limit the information flow to that which I know she will find interesting. Having her first career in the medical field I tend to keep it too the biotech space and with BRN to the medical tech oops.

I know many here will not necessarily believe it but BRN is just part of our portfolio.

Real estate is a significant part and tends to dominate our conversations as well as her buying and selling of antiques and collectables.

In fact only today she suggested we relocate down to the Southern Highlands for the next few months now that Covid restrictions have been lifted so we can catch up the building and landscape projects that have been drifting while we were in isolation and she can build up her stock again. Having my heart fixed means I can be the grunt in her business again. Not sure having it fixed was such a great idea now. LOL

Then there are my cars.

Hi FF,
Very glad to hear you are well again. Being chronically unwell is not great - I can relate to that back-wise and it really sucks a lot of joy from life.
I'm very appreciative you still make an effort to post. It's a bit hard not to be just a little jealous of your life least of all having a life partner (and one that understands you). Not to mention your personal drive/motivation something I struggle with constantly.
Are you sure you don't already have that inter-generational wealth? I have 5 fish tanks (up to 2ft!!) and a banged up 20yo RAV if that counts.

..... oh yea and wagon load of BRN and a ridiculously large bank balance (by my standards anyhow) still getting used to that as things have been uncertain for so long... even good change is scary.... well I'm assuming it's a good thing (PF shrugs).

I see that the release of the new Galaxy S22 phone 3 days ago has improved energy management; regulates temperature; AI engine capable of deep learning ; controls for Smart Home, etc.

How long before we might see Brainchip technology a new Samsung smartphone?

Thanks Deena for posting this. It’s hard to keep up with everything.

Wow, wouldn’t it be nice If this is us?

You would think given how fast the AI has to work it would be on the device versus the cloud. Plus if you wanted to use some of the AI features and were out of internet service you would again need it to be on the device. Fingers crossed!

What is the NPU in Galaxy and what does it do?

The NPU, or Neural Processing Unit, is built into the mobile processor to utilize advanced neural networks and provide new levels of vision intelligence to the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, and Z Flip. The NPU powers Scene Optimizer, offering enhanced ability to recognize what's in your photo and prompt the camera to adjust to the ideal settings for the subject. It's now more accurate than previous Galaxy models, too. It also gives the front camera the ability to blur the background of your selfies and create bokeh effects.
Not only that, the NPU helps the on-device AI, Bixby Vision. Bixby Vision's Lens Mode detects what you're seeing, so it can give you information on a restaurant you've just passed, or on a pair of shoes you want to buy. With the addition of the NPU to the already advanced processor, your Galaxy phone isn't just smart, it's incredibly intelligent.
Discover more about Galaxy.

Cheers all!

Without being glib of course it is a good thing to have this security. The ageing population and inability to secure a tax base to provide essential services from global companies in fact makes it essential. So nothing for you to fear or even apologise for on this score.

If as might occur you have a grandchild who needs support for their life that is when it becomes scary as a grandparent in our society and why if you have the drive, ability and knowledge it is incumbent upon you to create generational wealth.

Enough said on this Straw but you have always been a generous unselfish contributor and if by good management, fortitude and a bit of luck you have had success with your investment that should be a joy.

Definitely my opinion.

Hi SG,

One of the problems with new technology is standardization of terminology.

In Akida, NPU is a neural processing unit, and 4 NPUs are grouped together in a node, and 20 nodes make up the Akida SoC neural network (NN). So what Samsung is calling a NPU would correspond approximately to Akida's NN.

Now if Samsung's NPU uses CNN-to-SNN, on-chip learning, one-shot learning ...

Anyone who demands a screenshot to prove a purchase claim should be given short shift in my opinion. People can believe you or not, that is their choice, but demanding proof by screenshot is not on as far as I'm concerned.
Cheers to you Dhm. I hear your outrage and I agree with it.

Thomas Hulsing, Airbus Defence and Space, seems to be a fan of Akida. Is it possible he or his division has hands on experience with our chip?
I have placed another snippet on the -Is this Akida thread-.

Though I don't have any kids (and I understand the desire to protect your family of course) I still wish an improved existence for all in the future... I just don't like being forced to be a part of that system that is failing them (and me). Security is what matters which comes from ubiquitous financial equity/opportunities for social inclusion. Would love to see some more humility in govt... or some humility period.
Yes sorry to all is a little off subject.... been a really crap week, take it as a vent.
Sometimes as a single person I do hear the phrase 'for my children and my children's children' which sounds a little tribal and it just gets to me a little, rightly or wrongly. I can't help feel that is not a particularly helpful world view or even local wider community view and seems to reflect the system we are in. Though it can be a bit of a throw away catch phrase to express concern for the community in general, eg, pollution, peace, etc.
And I'd better point out that I'm grateful that other people have families and bring up their kids to best of their ability (no mean feat). Not much human future without them.
People need purpose but they also require a minimum level of dignity and respect as a starting point.
I still think this is going to be a big issue as automation becomes more common and capable.
Anyhow I'll go back into hibernation (as apparently I 'emerged' with my previous post lol)

Hyundai Mobis uses machine learning to interpret the brainwave signals.

The accident prevention technology also provides alerts for different sensory organs, such as sight (LEDs around the driver’s seat), touch (vibrating seat), hearing (headrest speaker), etc.

That gut feeling you get about a South Korean company but it could be the South Korean BBQ you ate the night before!

Hi Straw,

I don't know if you are on the same page as Simon Thorpe:
Universal basic income
https://basicincome.org/news/2014/07/simon-thorpe-fixing-the-system-with-a-basic-citizens-income/
but it's something the world may need to consider in the future as AI spreads.

Hi Guys and Gals. Not sure where to post this bit of info as I have been away mostly since joining.

The info I am sharing is regarding TMH or *****************. All freely obtainable online.
You will see from the below pasted article (from TMH annual report 2020 - page 67) that they are referencing hotcrapper Forum and activities there by posters. It shows how lawyers ( or Courts) are able (and do) apply for the contact info of defamatory posters and HC see's these as potential liabilities that may impact on it.
There is no "hiding" on HC forums if you go to far..

Of interest to the recent past mess at HC in BRN forum and certain activities by HC , TMH and "others" the scenario uncovered can be also collaborated by TMH Annual Report (2020) as it has listed on pages 64,65,66 the amounts of funds (assets) currently held at that time in various Stock Market sectors they trade in.
Conflict of interest to their articles perhaps?
Tech sector they were still holding millions $.
The major shareholder is one Mr Brian David Argyle with 37% and a Director of TMH is Gavin John Argyle.? (Brothers?)
Another Director (Colin Edward Chenu) was a principle at TMH company Lawyers - LawFirst PtyLtd.
The Company Secretary was a senior Advisor for the ASX in Perth.
The Managing Director has a $1.5 mil loan facility with the company. (which he would be using to short/buy shares he writes articles on).
We all know the various Articles posted by TMH and HC Moderators posing as "Downrampers" in HC. There was the Twitter posts by all TMH management personal about BRN. There is evidence of loan facilities to Management of TMH. ($1.5 Mil to the MD.)
Draw your own conclusions.

Samsung doesn't have a dog but Kia recently does and Robot Ken needs a cool best friend!

Boston dynamics has the Robots that need Akida tech to reach the next level!
