Now back to Brainchip...you may have noticed that with Manny retiring from the Board, Antonio moved sideways as he was already a Board Member, so the company hasn't sourced another director, they have moved Sean onto the Board as the 5th Member, I noticed this last night and was sort of surprised, as I may have missed any reference to this actually taking place.

I think it's ok...but as Sean is answerable to the Board, maybe there is a slight bit of conflict, if they wish to discuss certain matters with regards the CEO privately ?...nothing to be concerned about, but I thought that I'd bring it to your attention.

That should not be a problem as it is very common for a managing director to be on the board as well as being the chief executive. Unless we have a dysfunctional board with a lot of internal politics, which I hope we don't have, things should be fine.

I'm not very familiar at all with politics in that region is all about. I heard that Russia had a deal with Ukraine not to join nato and they were about to renig on that agreement. I'm guessing he's going after who voted in favour of that.. something to that affect.
On the plant well I hope it's at least built strong enough that some stray bullets and light mortar has little impact, they would have factored in possible terrorist attacks yes ?
Which makes me think if Akida ran the plant it would know what to shut down and when and possibly have demonized drones to deploy to shoot both imbeciles to protect the plant..
For me it's the boots on the ground that should realise they playing stupid games shooting around in there and give their respective leaders the 🖕. They must have IQs of a potatoe.
Reminds me of the F#@later cops bashing spraying shooting their own citizens here and abroad so I don't have much faith in the pm round table
talks. We should stay the f out of it imo. I better breath..

When I joined the Police there were minimum height and other physical requirements. Officers had a 12 inch rubber baton and a six shot Smith & Wesson revolver.
Because these height and physical requirements excluded women they were relaxed then abandoned.
Overtime it was realised little police needed extra weapons to effect arrests and control groups until now where they carry eight shot automatic Glock pistols, capsicum spray, Tasers and three foot long metal batons and up graded handcuffs.
Post traumatic stress disorder is endemic in the ranks of modern police.
Little police have a very hard time enforcing the law and are challenged constantly and because they lack the size and strength to control others they are forced to resort to using these weapons.
What you complain about in this country at least is a product of politically correct narratives that ignore facts to pander to interest groups resulting in increasingly violent outcomes.

Both Sean Hehir and Rob Telson have spoken about wearables in the medical device area. In the linked paper these researchers who on the face of this article do not know about AKIDA technology yet have trialled a wearable solution to when a patient has lost neural sensation ie lack of feeling in a limb in this case the arm.

This is very significant research. Those who suffer spinal cord injuries have this issue and can manifest itself in horrific burn injuries as they have no feeling or sensation so that in the example of one of my clients her leg was in direct contact with the radiator until her mother came back from outside and realised what was occurring by which time the damage was done:

Wearable uBrain: Fabric Based-Spiking Neural Network​

On garment intelligence influenced by artificial neural networks and neuromorphic computing is emerging as a research direction in the e-textile sector. In particular, bio inspired Spiking Neural Networks mimicking the workings of the brain show promise in recent ICT research applications. Taking such technological advancements and new research directions driving forward the next generation of e-textiles and smart materials, we present a wearable micro Brain capable of event driven artificial spiking neural network computation in a fabric based environment. We demonstrate a wearable Brain SNN prototype with multi-layer computation, enabling scalability and flexibility in terms of modifications for hidden layers to be augmented to the network. The wearable micro Brain provides a low size, weight and power artificial on-garment intelligent wearable solution with embedded functionality enabling offline adaptive learning through the provision of interchangeable resistor synaptic weightings. The prototype has been evaluated for fault tolerance, where we have determine the robustness of the circuit when certain parts are damaged. Validations were also conducted for movements to determine if the circuit can still perform accurate computation.


Thought a little of what Brainchip and AKIDA technology will beneficially bring to the world was in order.

Sorry SERA2g.................but looking at current events over in Ukraine I fail to see what benefits Europe is having (especially the Ukrainians) by having a so called civilized society.

For those here is Oz the similarities between the build up between Ukraine & Russia leading up to this mess and current China directions are talked about with detailed plans made by those living here in northern Qld. We have one of the (3) best beachhead locations on the east coast of Australia here which again has similarities in Ops to the Ukrainian conflict. Also within 10 klms is Qlds best deep water port namely Mourilyan Harbour.
Many of us are ex-mil and have family currently in the services too. We feel strongly about what Ukraine is going through.

Let me put it this way.

In a civilised society you can expect to be able to safely go about your day commuting to work to earn money to pay for food for your children and to put a roof over their head and pay for electricity and gas to keep them warm, comfortable and safe.

In the animal kingdom, a zebra will get killed crossing a river because a lion is hungry.

Imagine instead of being able to commute to work safely to earn money to be able to drive down to the shops to buy food, you had to leave your house and kill others all while trying to survive yourself, so that you can drag their carcus home to then cook and feed to your children.

That'd be a pretty grim world.

I'm not saying civilization is perfect, but the structured manner in which we live, which admittedly is not always followed by all, is much better than the alternative.

I just spent a few minutes lowering my IQ over on the old HC site to discover that the depth of research and fabrication has actually exceeded all previous record lows.

The current down ramp is based on the idea that Brainchip is about to engage in a capital raise with massive dilution despite the fact that a cursory examination of the Annual Report and ASX announcements reveals they have $49 million in the bank, at least $2 million to come in from MegaChips this calendar year and a statement that they have no further calls on LDA Capital under the minimum draw down agreement until end of 2023.

The goodies who are pointing out the absurdity are being moderated and the beat goes on the beat goes on.

I am going to have to start posting about the share that draws me over there on here just so I can keep my IQ at something reasonable. While reading the posts over there I almost forgot I have to breath. LOL

PS: I have not mentioned the statements by the former CEO Mr. Dinardo about income which match those of the Acting CEO Peter van der Made, the current CEO Mr. Sean Hehir and the Chief Financial Officer Mr. Ken Scarince that income will start flowing and ramping up second half of 2022 as well as the fact that the Acting CEO Peter van der Made made his first statement to this effect as part of the price sensitive AGM presentation to shareholders last year which means that a further price sensitive ASX announcement would be required if there was a material change.

Lowering my IQ spot on. love the terminology...I released all of my ignored eggheads when I departed and I do return occasionally briefly as an observer and farout, it's not as bad as I thought it was over there , it's MUCH MUCH worse...

Big dollars in the VR XR MR space how will Brainchip capture this market ? 🤔🤓


The players
Many well-established brands like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen already offer a suite of AR features in their top-end vehicles. Automotive suppliers like Continental, Denso, Visteon, ZF, Nvidia, Bosch, Panasonic and others are the biggest players in the AR and VR automotive space, supplying and making head-up displays (HUDs) and related components for a variety of established automaker


For VR and AR, there are several applications I could see come into play:
  1. Hand tracking
  2. Eye-tracking
  3. Playspace tracking
  4. Object recognition
Stand-alone HMDs like the Meta Quest are becoming the norm, rumor is (based on patents) that Valve is also looking to create a stand-alone device.

Just as Valve is working on their SteamDeck (think of competitor to Nintendo's Switch), aiming to put a desktop PC (probably more akin to a gaming laptop) into a handheld device. It's only a matter of time before stand-alone VR/AR devices attempt to do the same. There is the Simula One, aimed to run a full version of Desktop Linux.

If hand-recognition was good enough, I imagine that VR devices could project actual keyboards into a virtual environment (there is one Logitech Keyboard that works with the Meta Quest) in addition to using hand-tracking gestures for navigating UI elements. It would be a very interesting day if one could do their daily desk jobs (including software development) completely in VR with several virtual monitors replacing those that take up actual desk space.

In applications where camera sensors are heavily used, Akida has a place within tracking and recognition capabilities, considering that two of the problems they are trying to solve are reducing the amount of heat generated and extending the battery life of these devices.

Edit: With regards to military use for VR, a few years ago I thought it would be interesting to have a base (think of something like a drone operator center), where Virtual Reality HMDs could be used with technology like Virtusphere and several individuals remotely controlling robots like Boston Dynamics' Atlas to replace actual foot soldiers.

We're probably a long way of from that kind of dystopian future, but emerging technologies are certainly making it a possibility.

God the hc BRN threads really went to hell: it's basically just shareman, sunny and stickshift ragging on the company. Thank goodness we have this community here.
