BRN Broker Data

Do you know if you can move from Aus Super to Q Super and if you can invest in small caps in Q Super as Aus Super don't allow it.
ASX300 only

yes I've done that but ive exceeded the 20% rule with hostplus in any one stock which is Brn (of course:)) so for me that's not enough and they have other weird rules which now 20k is stuck in limbo cash that i can select myself. does qsuper have a 20% rule haven't look the rules up there hence i might need to upgrade self fund..
QSuper has similar rules. Roughly, limit of 80% total in self-chosen and 25% in any one stock.

Aus Super do allow it. I am with Aus Super and have BRN shares. I think the one requirement is that you need over $10K in your fund. It's called "Direct Investment" from memory. There's a $300~ or so fee each year paid by your fund to have that option available. You transfer however much you want of your balance to a transaction account and then after about 3 days it clears and you can buy the shares.
ASX300 shares only and the 20% rule applies as mentioned above.
This is in no way, shape or form financial advice.

Hi Yak
I hope you are liking it here as much as I do.
FF.
Hello FF. yes I think this new forum is great. Shame I have had so little time to look around since joining. As luck would have it several "personal" issues came up since joining which have taken me away from concentrating on the stocks and forums. I have fallen out of the "loop" very quickly and need to spend a good week or two catching up again.

What a coincidence!!! JP Morgan is the second largest shareholder of TMH.

View attachment 577
Greenwaves...........that list of shareholder in TMH (*****************) has a MR DAVID BRIAN ARGYLE a stop holder with 37% shares.
He is also a Non-Exec Director of TMH. And he is listed in Financial 61 where you can see his investments.

We use CMC Markets Stockbroking. For most minimum trade cost is 0.1% or $11 (whichever is higher); although less for us now thanks to Brainchip we are now "Alpha Traders" and only pay 0.075% for trades. Live ASX data and lots of research capabilities on their online platform. It works well for us.

Very much appreciated Deena. Same or similar functionality? Alternately, other than the brokerage fees which is attractive, are there additional functions which provide value that you are aware of? THanks once again

As I said CS, there are lots of research capabilities including advanced charting and many tabs functions which I suspect all the major on-line brokers have. Does all the normal things that you would expect; stop-loss etc. It is very powerful. It has far more than I would ever use.

How do you become an "alpha trader"?

How do you become an "alpha trader"?
There are three ways:
1. Spend over $3,000 on brokerage (in previous 12 months?), or
2. Hold over $1.5 million in stocks and cash with CMC Markets (I think that was the amount), or
3. Something to do with the amount of international trades, but as this didn't apply to me I don't remember
I wasn't aware of it until they suddenly notified me I was an Alpha Trader. I think it is something fairly new.
There are other advantages too such as free access to their model portfolios. I don't worry about that though because my model is easy ... hold onto our Brainchip!

here is the update from 2/2/2022 to 16/2/2022, which is right after my previous update.

obviously insto has slowed down buying, and retail investors started to kick in. However overall, most of instos have accumulated a lot more at price that is much higher than the current SP.

Here is period between 2/2/2022 to 16/2/2022

and here is the one between from 04/01/2022 to 16/02/2022, have a look at their average buying cost during the period.

Fascinatingly Intuitive.
Thought i might just move my recent broker data post from hotcrapper to here.

So, I just want to say to those shorters, good luck fighting against the an army of BRN hungry institutional investors.

Below is merely a screenshot for the period starting from 04/1/2022 to 01/2/2022. JP morgan was the top net buyer and alone net bought 19m shares in just one month at this high price

View attachment 275
Macquarie Insto being the 2nd largest net bought 13.5m shares at average price of 1.641. What is even more crazier is that JPmorgan alone net bought 10.7m brn shares on the 19th Jan. at an average price of 2.164. To me, they look very desperate.

So, shorters, have fun playing with these beasts.

By the way, I only put up one month of broker report here. I assure everyone the data from march 2021 looks even more crazier.

Good luck to all the believers.
