Hey Butcherano,Hope you don’t mind me going a little off topic here with a tipping comp @zeeb0t . Although it’s aligned with the BRN share price if that helps.
Thought I’d get in early to give everyone a chance to sign up and do some study before the first game kicks off in a month.
I’m happy to donate 3,000 BRN as the total prize money. Will sell them on Mon 5th Sep at the open, after the last home and away game is finished that weekend and then distribute the cash as follows:
1st prize – 60%
2nd prize – 20%
3rd prize – 10%
4th prize – 5%
5th prize – 5%

Only a couple of rules – you must be a BrainChip shareholder and you must use the username from this chat forum when you enter.
I’m sure we’ve got a mix of AFL and NRL purists…so to make it fair to all I’m making it a combined AFL and NRL tipping comp. Winners are based on the total combined AFL and NRL tipping scores.

Cheers,
Butcherano.
Its your tipping comp mate, either way is fine by me. Can't wait for the season to start, especially when we kick dog arse again on 16 MarchCheers @Sotherbys01 . Yeah that’s what I’ve got it set up as at the moment. You get the away teams if you forget to put your tips in. The other option I was thinking of was that you get the average score for the round minus 1. Might put a poll up closer to the first round and get a consensus.
That's handy especially in the first few rounds of the season when there always seems to be a number of upsets. So having all the away teams early on may happen to be just as effective as picking all the home teams.I like it, if you miss your tips you get the away teams
Nice and early…I like it. Although if you tipped St.Kilda against my boys then I’m going to need you to go away and do some more research. You’ve still got a few weeks to come to your senses!…My tips are in for the first round.
Lol, I grew up in Melbourne. How could I choose the pies to beat St.Kilda?Nice and early…I like it. Although if you tipped St.Kilda against my boys then I’m going to need you to go away and do some more research. You’ve still got a few weeks to come to your senses!…
Could be in for a long season JK.
Sotherbys01,Hey Butcherano,
many thanks for starting these comps and putting up the prizes-good karma to you mate. As a Dee's supporter life is good.....
May I just put it out there that your tipping comp rules state that if a tipper fails to place their tips they get the away teams.
"Miss your tips, receive the away teams.
Anyone who doesn't submit tips before a match begins will be awarded the away teams. Learn More"
I ran a tipping comp last season where a significant amount of games were played at either neutral or away grounds that would of been played at home grounds. Some teams did not play a home game for many weeks. This gave forgetful tippers some assistance and as such the rules were altered to "Miss your tips, receive zero". Covid will most likely cause this to occur again this season.
Can this be considered for this years comps please
Cheers
