AVZ Discussion 2022

We literally just waited from April for our rescheduled hearing to occur after the last suspension. There wouldn't be an immediate ruling after the hearing in any case, so why not just let it ride? Surely that would apply more pressure to get a result. And even if they couldn't get a deal done and the ICSID award came first, this would provide a price guide to negotiate from, and give an impetus to the DRC to remove the stain hanging over their 'open for business' mantra.

Though it seems an encouraging signal, I'm going to be fuming if February rolls around again and we have to restart the ICSID Proceedings without any headway towards a resolution, and have to wait again for another rescheduled hearing after wasting more time.

But hopefully this means that our management believe we are nearly across the line.
This is exactly it... its in our detractors interests to stall and kick the can down the road to bleed our legal funding dry. Why is our own management doing it now over going full steam on litigation resolution. Thats what needs answering at AGM.

... that said one week out from AGM and suspending ICSID, is it even remotely possible Christmas might come early?

I have to say that for a long time I thought you both flip flopped on your comments and I couldn’t understand why you wouldn’t just stick to supporting Nigel and the BOD. It’s a shame toilet isn’t here anymore because he would have loved to agree with you both and join in.

Anyway, I have to admit I agree with you both now. Obviously this decision by Nigel and the BOD was done on a whim with no rationale, thought process or confidential agreements in place.

In fact we can only assume that this latest debacle is the result of some very bad advice by DLA Piper.

It’s an absolute outrage, complete madness and I think we should all send our concerns to Messrs Carrick and Cong as well as to ASIC because I’m sure they are the answer to our prayers. Those of us truly God fearing shareholders that pray that is

Now where’s my flip flops?

I'm waiting for some bright spark on the other channel to come up with the totally credible line that the three-month ICSID suspension is because Nige and Graeme are in gaol, or have fled to Greece wearing a bad wig.

Get real Dave. Providing support doesnt have to mean blind obedience without questioning what lies behind any decisions. Discussion of developments on a discussion forum? Blashphemy!

Lucky I don't much care what you think

Not happy about further delays but perhaps it's out of necessity. It'll take that long for the Minister of Mines to embezzle a replacement jet and get back from Kolwezi.
The MOM lost his paperwork in the crash and following fire, he needs 3 months to retrieve them.

Maybe team Felix stole them in the confusion after the accident.

I call them as I see them with the limited amount of information I have. Maybe you can peer behind the curtain a lot more or operate on information I don't have?

For what its worth I support the BOD in so far as I think they are our best option going forward but I do want answers why they requested another suspension (I have speculated its because of GOOD things and they obviously can't give details until finished).

As Roon said support and blind obedience are different things. I want what is in my best interests, ROI, despite what I have staked on the line, I try not to get emotional about it.

Reminds me of a comment from Jens on X a week or 2 ago, didn't know what it really meant at the time, still don't ...

Yeah i was confused by that post by Jens at the time. Didn't know if he was talking about mining licence or ICSID. Have always taken what Jens says with a grain of salt but seems this time he was on the money.
Have been feelin really flat past month or so but this has really lifted me back to a positive frame of mind. Comment above by @Randenj re finance approval timeline for Acadia buyout by Rio dovetails perfectly.

You could be onto something there. A lot of evidence can go missing in an "accident".
