"Accompanied by Kobolde Energy partners, Mr. Kibeya visited Tesla's electric vehicle manufacturing plant, a global symbol of technological innovation and sustainable mobility."

The smug looking piece of shit...

Edit: Am I right in assuming this refers to Kobold Metals, the same Kobold Metals that was previously refusing to work with Cominiere? I did a search on "Kobolde Energy partners" and everything seems to point back to Kobold Metals.

Remark

"Dany Banza Maloba, long considered a close ally of President Félix Tshisekedi, a discreet figure but also the “shadow banker” of the Tshisekedi family in Greater Katanga, claims to be the target of a vast conspiracy aimed at “eliminating” him, both physically and politically.

The former roving ambassador and president of the Avenir du Congo (ACO) party notably accuses Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa, president of the board of directors of COMINIERE, of orchestrating a defamation campaign against him.

According to Banza, recordings falsified by artificial intelligence, fabricated by Kahumbu Mandungu and Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa, were allegedly used to implicate him in supposed funding of the opposition and rebel groups “close to Joseph Kabila.”

The heart of the controversy also touches on the Manono lithium project, a strategic mining project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Banza speaks of “opaque maneuvers” and “immense financial interests” behind the current tensions.

The scandal, already denounced by former governor Moïse Katumbi, continues to undermine the credibility of the public mining sector."

Apparently, President Félix Tshisekedi is also claiming that photographs of him have also been falsified by AI making him appear heftier than he actually is. Photo supplied.

All these zinjin claims are purely spurious in nature and will not effect our good legal title.

Nobody is paying top dollar for this until our case is unbeatable, why would they, it makes sense as frustrating as it it is, if you are a company you're not going to offer more than you need to depending on the situation, we have to ride this out! They want investor fatigue and for us to run out of money. It's not easy at all but hang in there 👍

Bring on dates for ICSID hearings. Last time was 3 days hearings with a spare day. Lock them in. ICC hearings too. I'm done with the nice guy, waiting for the opposition. All cards on the table then sale negotiations.

AI really stands for amplified intelligence. The person asking it questions still needs to know what the fuck they are talking about or the robot will just make up shit and it will go unnoticed imo
For the actual timeline if we need to go through with it all, it is below:
  1. March 1, 2024: Claimants submit a Memorandum.
  2. July 26, 2024: Production of documents and objections deadline for both parties.
  3. August 9, 2024: Claimants and Respondent provide responses to objections to document production.
  4. September 27, 2024: Tribunal issues a decision on document production.
  5. May 5, 2025: Identification of witnesses and experts for cross-examination by both Claimants and Respondent.
  6. June 2-4, 2025 (June 5 reserved): Scheduled hearing involving all parties.
ICSID dates have never been published except by 9card on this forum. I notice there seems to be the impression on the crapper based on AI research that there is some sort of negotiation about ICSID dates going on. ICSID rules are very clear. Available for anyone that's not a robot to read whenever they like. Clearly states that the modified procedural calender must be set by the tribunal BEFORE suspension begins.

Chapter VIII: Suspension, Settlement and Discontinuance

Rule 54: Suspension of the Proceeding

(4) In its order suspending the proceeding, the Tribunal shall specify:

(a) the period of the suspension;
(b) any relevant terms; and
(c) a modified procedural calendar to take effect on resumption of the proceeding, if necessary.

Perhaps we should ask for the new ICSID calendar at the AGM. Surely that information wouldn't disadvantage us if it was in the public domain. It's no secret we are going through ICSID.

In November 2021, at the DRC-Africa Business Forum during the lithium price surge and six months before AVZ delisted, Félix Tshisekedi presented his country as Africa's ideal high-tech/battery manufacturing hub...noting his country's vast mineral resources, well-established mining legislation, business-friendly environment and skilled labour force.

He further emphasised his country's competitive advantage in the electric vehicle battery value chain as "...the most competitive destination for investments in batteries for electric cars."

Fast forward four years, and despite endless spruiking, the DRC remains to same aid-dependent cesspool of corruption, cronyism and grinding poverty. Little of the billions received from (mostly) Chinese mining licences and royalties has found its way to rebuilding the DRC's crumbling infrastructure or desperately needed community projects.

Instead, funds are skimmed before they get to treasury, wasted on pet political projects or simply pilfered by Felix and his entourage of like-minded kleptocrats.

Despite confidence returning to the LCE market, and spot prices again climbing past $US8,000/t, it is not surprising that potential suitors for AVZ's Manono assets remain nervous about the DRC, and are prepared to offer only a proportion of Manono's true value. Until there is certainty around ownership of Manono's mineral rights, potential suitors will probably keep their hands and their money in their pockets.

Cheers
F
