The United States and Australia have just finalized a $13 billion agreement on critical minerals: http://share.google/HR9JGxCooF5ycg ….
Where is the DRC?

Earlier this year, we facilitated a productive meeting between the Export-Import Bank of the United States (@EximBankUS ) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), during which EXIM proposed a multi-billion dollar financing framework for the development of the Congolese mining sector.

Seven months later, this US-DRC mining partnership remains a proposal, while countries like Australia are concluding historic agreements with the United States in record time. This delay is causing growing frustration among members of the US Congress and within the administration @realDonaldTrump .

From our perspective, France, @PaulKagame , Belgium, and certain unpatriotic Congolese actors are deliberately working to derail this strategic partnership between the United States and the DRC.

They know that a strong mining alliance between Washington and Kinshasa would put an end to decades of foreign exploitation of Congo's immense natural resources.

The time to fight back is now. As we assess the situation and identify the DRC's adversaries, we call on the Congolese people to pray for President Felix #Tshisekedi (@Presidence_RDC ) and for the #RDC , as enemies, both internal and external, work tirelessly to sabotage the shared vision of Presidents #Trump and #Tshisekedi for a sovereign and prosperous DRC.

The reason is because @Presidence_RDC
Tshisekedi and his family support the corrupt actions of Celestin Kibeya & Cominiere’s board who take bribes and extort money. Read the reports 👇

Congo faces claim over looting of gold mine

Toby Fisher

22 October 2025

A Chinese-owned mining company says it will resort to international arbitration after US$70 million worth of gold was looted from its mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by the Rwanda-backed rebel group M23.

Honestly, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Cheers

Would be interesting to see who they bring legal action against.
I doubt M23 has a legal incorporated entity that could be served.
Do they lodge their tax return on time? :)

I'd say a lot of the anti-DRC narrative appearing on twitter lately is originating in Rwanda, to prop up Kigame's messaging. I wouldn't place too much weight in it. Though given Trump's desire for a Nobel prize and his regular refrain about how many peace deals his administration had fostered, in this instance some US pressure to sign in time for a well-publicised event at the White House would be credible
