“AVZ has triggered this action.

“It is regrettable that AVZ has caused the Manono project to stall.

AVZ’s board ordered DLA Piper’s review on June 2 after being alarmed by Mr Ferguson’s authorisation of the “base” $US1 million cash payment and proposal to offer an additional $US5 million in cash and shares as a “success” fee to Mr Mihigo if he helped AVZ successfully obtain a mining licence.


By June 22, DLA Piper advised AVZ’s board to reject the plan to offer an additional $US5 million to Mr Mihigo, with a conclusion Mr Mihigo was acceptable as a consultant after ordering a specialist risk assessment. DLA Piper also recommended the $US1 million cash payment to Mr Mihigo is properly documented.

Could ONE ASSUME NIGE stepped on others toes...!

Qatari-brokered peace talks between the Congolese government and M23 are reportedly deadlocked. French state media reported on September 4 that representatives from both sides have been in Doha for nearly three weeks but that no concrete progress has been made and the talks remain stalled over complex issues regarding the release of prisoners on both sides
