#ACCORD_RDC_RWANDA
What should be ratified in the June 27, 2025 agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda in Washington.
1. Conditional withdrawal of Rwandan troops. (canceled)
2. Ceasefire and disarm the non-state armed groups.
3. Mutual respect for borders and sovereignty.
4. Security cooperation with regional verification.
5. Economic development based on minerals and investments.
6. Regular ministerial monitoring to ensure implementation.
It should be noted that the DRC has waived its request for the immediate withdrawal of Rwandan troops from its territory.
This is what the Rwandan Foreign Minister asserted, emphasizing that despite evidence provided by the United States and the UN, Rwanda has never admitted the presence of its forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Instead, a gradual de-escalation will be implemented over a period of several months, depending on specific measures against the FDLR (Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda) in the eastern DRC, in collaboration between the Congolese and Rwandan army.
