Is there alternatives? The fb group has one bloke who posts good stuff but can’t comment on the rest of the weirdos on it. It gets weird there.
Im not sure if that nuxoll guy is skar from here - one time he posted exactly the same comment as skar's

It’s an obvious fake account but at times s/he pass on news well before it makes its way to the crapper or TSE.

Before he does exit the stage, I’m tipping that he’ll go down swinging with one those good ol’ fashioned purges (with Chinese characteristics)
From what I hear he's being out-purged. Some of his loyalist generals in the PLA being disappeared...

This is from an old article on 8-May, but of interest is the mention of the partial claim settlement, which presumably means partial wrt the 10B USD claim. I wonder what partial means, maybe 50%.

The Framework Agreement Structure

KoBold's entry represents a potential breakthrough in this protracted dispute. The company has proposed a framework agreement that would:
  1. Compensate AVZ Minerals for its initial exploration work and partial claim settlement
  2. Divide the massive deposit geographically – with KoBold developing the southern portion while Zijin retains rights to the northern section
  3. Commit $1 billion for project development over a 5-year timeframe
  4. Establish clear boundaries and operational independence between the two zones

    The link ...

Good pick up. Interesting language.

Partial claim settlement could mean a percentage of the $10b USD claim as you say. I would think it could also mean part of the claim settled now with part to be settled later (ongoing royalty?). Obviously we do not know the details yet, but interesting pick up for sure.

Seems like you're the new boss around here since everybody got vanished.
I don't know if I should be curious or suspicious.
I know most peoples first thought is the bots are working for the Chinese... but they could very well be instead working for Kobold interests too...

I've already been in contact with him - he's ok.
Like me, he's from Germany.
He is a shareholder and only reads the forum.
I don't know if he is Skar.

I noted he quoted my post to the fb group. I think he misinterpreted my post. I wasn't calling him a weirdo at all, quite the opposite in fact. I think he's the only decent contributor on the fb group I've seen so far! I was more referring to the others... example - there's been about 10 Nigerian princes pop in to say hello!

Are you basing this simply on the peace deal and minerals for security deal proposed timing or are you aware of some additional information?
The clue is the ICSID suspension period, set expire on Mon 23rd. This follows the peace deal signing slated for the preceeding week, clearing the path for Kobold to formalise our buyout. Otherwise, one presumes, legal proceedings will either resume or suspension extended.

Heard same rumour a while back, that Xi had been deposed as head of the PLA. So Xi loyalist generals being purged suggests as much.

Yea, in a perfect world, or even a normal world not involving the DRC Government. Also, keep in mind that the Peace agreement is expected to be signed on the week of June 15. June 15 is a Sunday and the US regards Sunday as the first day of the week. So I am interpreting this to mean that the expected date of signing to be within 15-21 June. This leaves things pretty tight to get the AVZ deal finalised in June, especially given the absolute glacial pace of every other step in this process.

I would have thought the most likely outcome is more extensions...much like the 50 extensions of the CATH deal, but very happy to be proven wrong. Time will tell. I am not getting hopes up too early.

Edit: upon reflection have decided to delete my post as being too contentious, and unfair to Bags, even though he's been quite derogatory towards me over time.

Don't forget that AVZ have been in "commercial discussions" with Kobold for some months already and a framework to purchase our interest had been set by May 9 ann. Hence negotiations fairly advanced at that point.

So the May 26 ann that ICSID had been suspended to facilitate negotiations with DRC suggested this is the final phase, enabled by the Kobold/AVZ terms having been agreed upon.

And those terms would also have been informed by prior discussions establishing the DRC and US requirements for the deal to proceed.

Therefore the tight suspension requested indicates AVZ/Kobold are satisfied and confident that the DRC's imprimatur is largely a formality and can be wrapped up within 30 days.

This neatly coincides with the peace deal ceremony in Washington with Trump, Rubo and Bolous, along with loads of African leaders, slapping Felix's back and calling him some sort of genius.

What you say makes logical sense and is backed up by numerous media articles and other sources which speak of the arrangement as if it's a done deal. I have just lost all confidence in the DRC Government to achieve anything at all in any agreed timeframe. For anything involving the DRC Government, unfortunately I have come to expect nothing but delays and incompetence.

Don't underestimate Felix's urgent need of self-preservation, and love of the limelight on the world stage. He has everything incentive to make it happen. As does Trump and Rubio who desperately need a major win right now.
