There will be a day, a day so very soon, a day perhaps this year, perhaps next month, we will gather around an image of the great NF and the entire board, at pubs around this fine nation, and we will take a knee, we will take a knee and we will hold our hearts and we will accept our special dividend.

Jesus, you guys have been low balling at US12
I think a discount down to $12 is only fair to meet in the middle.

If you want to move your holdings to Automic, open a ticket with IBKR and let them know what you want to do. At this stage, your shares are held through a custodian, and the AVZ office doesn't know you as a holder. Your name won’t appear on the registry, and you don’t have an SRN or HIN because you don’t directly own the shares.

IBKR will send you some forms to sign and to upload back to them. This is a manual process, and it typically takes around two weeks. They will charge you approximately $100 for the entire process.
Is this really necessary or can I just leave my shares managed by IBKR. Would expect in terms of any payment or purchase the money gets paid into my IBKR account !?

Yeah. I've got something special worked out for that day. :sneaky:

Yes dude. You need to do it. It's issuer held so you need to register so that the company can account for your shares and ledger them accordingly on the Automic system.

It's not hard mate. Just get on there and set it up. You were probably sent some advice last year about your SRN. Have a look for it. Once you have that, you are set. Lemon squeezy

I’ve lost track with updated DFS and BFS. Etc. has AVZ released its latest figures? Or is it still only for those “in the know” within the company?

It’s honestly something I’ve not yet tracked down/too confused over.

Capital return please. I'd like CGT rather than getting reamed for tax.

Couldn't help noting the timing of RIO's CEO being dumped, the day before our ICSID temporary suspension was enabled. Wonder if there's a connection.

Plenty of rumours including: heated row between CEO and RIO chairman in the preceeding week; suggestions CEO had gone too fast and too long on lithium; Arcadium still losing money; corruption allegations in Mongolia; depleting iron ore grades in Pilbara; ESG issues in Zambia with Chinese partner; CEO job done as a change agent so making way for a growth specialist, etc, etc.

Regarding how will Kobold develop Manono, did RIO commit to a deal with Kobold to add to RIOs already $10 billion bet on lithium.

One imagines Nigel only requested ICSID suspension once Kobold provided a clear mining path forward to the DRC's satisfaction.

Still think RIO is likely in the mix here but curious as to whether their CEOs sudden sacking is related. Otherwise just killing time lol.

As long as AVZ does not publish an explicit request to shareholders that ALL shareholders must be registered with Automic in order to receive, for example, a special dividend or other special payment, I believe that custody at the custodian bank is sufficient.

Normally, the bank is the registered holder, but it acts for and on behalf of the beneficial owner, which is me.
It is the same for me: my shares are held by my bank (DKB) at a custodian or partner bank.

I assume that in the event of a TO, or any kind of end to AVZ, the shareholders will be informed of how to proceed.

I would not currently transfer the shares to another broker in advance for no reason, which would also enable them to be held at Automic, and this would probably involve costs.

At the moment, however, nothing is clear and I remain on hold.

Or does anyone have any specific information about this?

Someone next door recently related how their ownership of an AVZ holding in his SMSF had reverted to the custodian or broker. This occurred unbeknownst to him per the fine print relating to delisting or inactivity or some such. Best check you retain control and duly transfer to Automic, the AVZ recommended holding registrar.
