I did... Bought BTC in 2022 when the price was around $24k usd.

and also lost all my Solana in the FTX collapse... As a silver lining, finally getting a bankruptsy payout. However as another kick in the balls, the payments are valued at US$ when FTX went bust. Getting $12usd per SOL when the price is now $182 USD per SOL. A loss of 15x gains.
(so kinda balances out I guess)

There is a reason only degenerates were gambling in crypto back then... fucking wild west and govenments/regulators hated it.
.....(Huh? So it actually all makes sense why I invested in the DRC)


As a little side note I think BTC is still going higher. ol trumpie boy is pro crypto and even the vice president is a top ten holder of Avalanche.
They're going to be pumping their bags to the moon!

Washington is trying to broker a peace deal between Rwanda and the DRC, and get access to Kinshasa’s mineral wealth in the process.

The new US approach is yielding early results. On May 6, 2025, California-based KoBold Metals and Australia-based AVZ Minerals reached an agreement for the former to acquire AVZ Minerals’ interests in the Manono lithium deposit in Congo. Billionaires Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos back KoBold. The agreement will enable the company to invest over one billion dollars to develop the lithium project.

It is difficult to evaluate the level of current US investments in Congo. US pledges of multi-billion-dollar investments depend on the promises of peace accords between Rwanda and Congo and related bilateral mineral agreements.
