Cheers for that mate. Very good read and quite encouraging they hopeful to have the basic peace accord finalized in coming weeks. It is sobering though given the sheer scale and complexity of making this whole thing work
Kudos to Massad Boulos and team for bringing this all together so quickly. The overall process will take years but i think these first steps even if a little messy and far from perfect are a huge step in the right direction for the future of the DRC.
That's awesome - Kagame and Felix could just swap bank account numbers and save a shitload on brown bags!

Practical Ways to Kill Sin Every Day

1. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s conviction and help.

2. Practice regular confession.

3. Remove the temptation.

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.
It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. (Mark 9:43)

The Tin Man, the forgotten element.

Yes, it is easy to forget about tin, when our lithium package is so exceptional.

But tin is in high demand, as many mines are closed, and new minable deposits hard to find.

In fact, China has nearly depleted their tin reserves, and mined out their deposits.

Currently, they are a net importer.

When global business picks up again, tin will be in short supply with prices rising.

Tin is the icing on the cake for our deposit, making it even more profitable as a very profitable by product..

We may have forgotten about tin, but I doubt Kobold, Saudi Arabia or the US or China have.

Neither has Rio,

But, most importantly, neither has Nigel.

AVZ is NOT only about lithium.

NF has already updated shareholders, its non-binding (meaning they are not obligated to follow the outcome, if they deem it not in the interests of shareholders) and its a framework the pricing metrics of which we don't know.

You are right about DREAMS though, It's been hyped ever since the DRC - US minerals for security agenda surfaced.
Given Chinas dominance it was always going to take a massive geopolitical shift for AVZ to come unstuck, when lo and behold... a massive geopolitical shift.

Great news indeed.
Explains how US will enable Rwanda to benefit from the peace accord.
Also IMO the final pre requisite for the Kobold /AVZ MOU to move to a binding contract.
Peace accord needs to be signed allowing Kobold the security and assurance to invest its billions in the DRC.
Waiting for the ink to dry is not about price IMO as Nigel would not have agreed to sign the MOU but rather 100% assurance of the peace accord between DRC and Rwanda being signed..
This agreement was referred even in the last item in our MOU.
Ask yourself why it was included.?
Few weeks to go and we all should know further details on take over and Felix re issuing the ML.

Just as an aside from all things AVZ:

Guinea repossess 51 mining licences, information minister says

By Maxwell Akalaare Adombila
May 16, 2025

Ref:
DAKAR, May 16 (Reuters) - Guinea's military government has taken back 51 mining licences as it steps up efforts to repossess claims or concessions where operations have either not been launched or where it says permits are being underutilised, its information minister said.

Reuters first reported that the government planned to cancel the licences on Thursday.

Fana Soumah announced in a televised address late Thursday night that Guinea's military ruler Mamady Doumbouya had signed the repossession decree, which covers bauxite, gold, diamond, graphite and iron concessions.

The concessions had been "returned free of charge to the state," Soumah said, citing multiple articles in Guinea's mining code as legal justification for the licence withdrawals.

Guinea is home to the world's largest reserves of bauxite, the main ore used to produce aluminium, and its exports are crucial to global production of the industrial metal, particularly in China and Russia.

It had previously moved to withdraw bauxite licences belonging to Kebo Energy SA and Emirates Global Aluminium.

"Government pressure on Guinea's bauxite industry is building," said Tom Price, investment bank Panmure Liberum's head of commodities.

"We suspect Guinea's government is consolidating the number of foreign bauxite miners, and forcing the reformed industry to invest in local downstream processing capacity," he added.

However, another analyst familiar with Guinea's mining sector operations, who asked not to be named, said the companies affected by the decree were inconsequential players.

Guinean authorities did not respond to requests for comment on their planned next steps.

The decree affects mining operations with licenses granted between 2005 and 2023. Some of the permits had already expired while others would have still remained valid for decades.

The move reflects an increasingly complex operating climate in West Africa, where military regimes in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso have tightened control over mineral assets since 2020 in a bid to boost revenues.

Australia's ASX listed Volt Resources (VRC) is impacted by this cancellation and potential expropriation, and its shares are now suspended from trading.

Greenfield exploration and development almost anywhere in Africa is like sticking your hand in a bag of angry snakes.

Cheers
