Félix Tshisekedi: "My ambition is to industrialize my country, to develop it"
President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi said this Sunday, May 28 that his “ambition is to industrialize his country and develop it”.
The Congolese head of state told the Congolese press in Shenzhen at the end of his four-day visit to the People's Republic of China.
According to him, this development goes through industrialization.
“I think China can be a good partner to support us. There are also other partners.
But China was the quickest to come and we are not going to close the door to a partner who is willing to accompany us.
This is how I responded directly, responded to this invitation from President Xi Jinping,” explained Félix-Antoine Thisekedi.
For him, this development also involves setting up in the DRC, processing industries for raw materials produced in the country:
“Industrialization is important to me because that is where development happens.
Industrialization begins with the transformation or creation of wealth at home.
The creation of value chains for products extracted in the DRC must be done in the DRC.
It will create wealth and jobs and it will benefit our economy.
This is my dream, this is my wish and I'm ready to do anything to get there."
