AVZ Discussion 2022

The fight against anti-values in public management has recently been receiving blows from mediocrity. This is just one battle in an all-out war where GOOD GOVERNANCE will win. Evil will never prevail over good.

$AVZ
@Presidency_DRC
Here is my take on the current situation: ICC proceedings are costly, waste time, and tarnish reputations. The initiative by $AVZ to finally move against #Cominiere may come at a critical time for the purpose of putting pressure on the #RDC govt to act and convince them that the ICC route is in fact not the way forward. No doubt the #RDC is interested in conducting forthright business by way of proper negotiations that lead to a positive resolution. This would create an environment in which investors feel happy to develop assets. I believe that $AVZ can lead the way and the #RDCleadership can get this done! Let's see what the next week or two will bring.....

Flexi, try using the “Snip” tool instead of print screen. Works better on dual screen set ups 👍
Thanks Jazz. Will give it ago on my next poster.

*They always talk about Copper and Cobalt in these articles as if it was the ONLY thing that goes into a Battery these Days, but for some reason they never mention / forget to, are too embarrassed to use the words "L for Lithium & M for Manono" for some strange reason, something i thought was a major mineral / very important part in a "Win-Win" Battery Industry, unless i'm mistaken

*Speaking of Cobalt, I see it's in the " Crapper " and could be for some time, something that's going to hit the DRC hard

If Only they had a Monster of a Lithium / Tin deposit with a Mining License to offset those losses  :(

Fresh blow to cobalt bulls as prices sink below $20,000

The dispute between China’s CMOC and Congo’s state-owned Gècamines appears to be over paving the way for its massive stockpile of cobalt to start entering the market.
blank.gif

Tenke Fungurume, split 80-20 between CMOC and Gècamines, continued to produce the battery and aerospace metal after its export permits were pulled in July.

According to Benchmark Source, stockpiles of at least 16,000 tonnes of cobalt hydroxide will take a year or more to be cleared and are likely to put further pressure on the cobalt prices already down by 75% since the peak a year ago to trade below $20,000 a tonne in April.

“On the one hand, this pending tsunami of product has already been baked into today’s bearish prices,” Daniel Fletcher-Manuel, head of prices, data and indices at Benchmark, said.

“However, further price erosion through quarter two is likely as suppliers race to offload tonnage before CMOC fully resumes exports.”

CMOC has been expanding Tenke, currently responsible for some 15% of global output, and expects the additional tonnes to hit markets this year on top of the released inventories.

Congo produces more than 70% of the world’s cobalt and mining inside the country is dominated by Chinese firms.

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence Cobalt Price Assessment expects the cobalt market to be in oversupply over the next three years as annual global production tops 250,000 tonnes by 2025, before a small but growing deficit appears through 2030.

Cooperation: mines and security will be part of Félix Tshisekedi's trip to Beijing

The Congolese president will make his first trip to China on May 26, several ministerial sources confirmed to Jeune Afrique.

This trip takes place in a context marked by the Congolese government's demand for the reassessment of what has been described as the "contract of the century", the agreement between Chinese companies and the Congolese government represented by Gécamines, signed in 2008, bearing exchange of mines for infrastructure.

Last February, the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) had mentioned, in a damning report, the imbalance in this contract.

Of the 12 billion dollars collected in the exploitation of minerals by Chinese companies, according to the IGF, only 820 million were allocated to infrastructure works for the benefit of the DRC.

A report also contested by the Chinese side.

Currently, the two parties are in talks to reach an amendment.

In addition to this sensitive issue, Tshisekedi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will discuss security issues, in a context where the DRC is shaken by a war of Rwandan aggression in its eastern part.

China could provide the DRC with necessary military equipment.

* To add, I see where,

Public finance: the more the budget increases, the more the crisis also increases?

Observation of a modest literary man.

The tripling, or even more, of the budget does not translate into a slight improvement on the social front.

Not the ounce of a thaw to borrow the lexicon of the weather.

Quite the contrary. Time never stops spoiling. The sky is ever darkening.

As evidenced by these prices on the market which look up when they do not make fun of the flattering figures, brandished by the white collars of the Government.

By also testifying to these remunerations, for some time, with an elastic deadline to which all the agents, despite themselves, have just subscribed to the State budget which has been multiplied by more than three.

Witness, "last but not least", the housewife's bag whose content does not know the slightest beginning of multiplication.

In a country where everyone has become, as if by the magic of infused science, a specialist in everything, we are careful not to play the "toutologue", or to play the "nionsologue" (a know-it-all).

Any more than we can claim in economics to do like Monsieur Jourdain who wrote prose without knowing it.

Nothing but popular sentiment and the arguably naïve questions worthy of a layman that arise from it.

Namely, what would be the interest of the average Congolese to know that the budget of his country has increased significantly if his ordinary does not change one iota?

How to explain to the man in the street that the country has gotten a little richer, while he continues to struggle as usual?

Maybe even a little more?

It's a bit like a father who announces that he has been substantially increased without this salary increase having the slightest impact on the lifestyle of the household.

This would raise legitimate questions.

Hence, the myriad of questions that Congolese are asking about this lack of nexus between the budget and the cost of living.

Did we of course have 16 billion?

My neighbor confirms that yes.

And that to refresh our failing memory, he reminds us that the Government had celebrated this almost quadrupling of the budget as a historic achievement.

A feat, not a fairy tale.

A miracle, not a mirage.

What is surprising is that with a budget three times smaller, things were going less badly than today.

It is to lose its Latin or - tropics oblige - its Lingala. Kokamwa!

(This is surprisingly).

That's for the value of trades.. Your market cap still shows $2.75B - on the ASX it's $1..

Think of the bright side - in 2 weeks, the 12 month low will 'increase' to 78c...

TC.

Let’s do the maths TC so we can each see what we are worth

$1 divided by 3.53 billion shares =
Multiply by my 3 million shares =

I think my investment of over $500k is now worth 100th of 3 shillings

Thanks for passing on the good news, now can you stop scaring people and check those figures for me

By the way I’m changing my profile to something more in line with my current mood and new investment suggestion

He's an absolute tool that has ramped up his insults on Twitter towards the DRC due to the fact that he will soon be banned - he's trying to go down swinging. Just report the fool.

He also reads TSEx - so on that note, fuck you @FizzTyson:D
