AVZ Discussion 2022

AVZ BOD should be culled to a skeleton crew to save money for the long road ahead, i see no reason why the likes of Tungaraza, Brans, Ngandu, Sijaona, Mulukenu, Paget should be on the payroll given AVZ dire balance sheet , inactivity and delisted status. Its all about international arbitration , ensuring we have enuff finances for the lawyers to do their thing.

The only reason why you wouldnt do a mass cull, is if Nigel foresees the newly established DRC govt seeing the light and awarding AVZ the ML, then all hands on deck required......whats the chances of that happening ?

imo
The problem I believe is that certain someones ( I have no idea who it may be ) have dangled the carrot before in front of Nigel. Someone must have told him 'oh do this and ML is yours'. Cannot think of any other reason we'd drop a few mill on drilling more when that area has since been taken from us.
Also comments he made in interviews/ shit shows told us that 'things were happening or about to happen'. Nigel wouldn't be making it up, it would of been what he was told. Seems someone has been the puppet master pulling his strings imo.

I don't see any culling going to happen as it would already have happened , but you are correct , AVZ needs as much money in the kitty as they can as still nothing is secure with future finances , as for Nigel foreseeing a mining licence being rewarded only he and the government of the DRC might know this and I am sure we will be last to find out because now we are delisted they are under no obligation to disclose anything till they are good and ready .
Just my thinking

I'll go glass half full . If we are not culling Nigel is confident either progress is being made or funding is not a problem.

You sound as if we are having multitudes of high calibres candidates lining up to replace Nigel that will be able to solve this current situation or broker a T/O that's at 0.78c or above. The reality is that if Nigel is out, it's highly likely that whoever takes over will be the puppet of the Chinese and will sell us out for <5c. The saying is that be careful what you wish for.

What's the highest TO you think Nigel's been offered?

I think you misunderstood what I posted . Nigel culling . Not Nigel being culled .

I think you misconstrued what Wombat was saying, under no circumstances would Nigel be culled, but extended BOD should be considered, the fact that it hasnt happened yet, could mean that progress is being made or further funding is a non issue....;)

I asked nigel at the last AGM about whether AVZ had received any TO offers, he replied.......NO

Beisha,

Nigel is not going to announce anything in my opinion unless its signed sealed a delivered. He is going to err on the side of caution I would suspect.

If he started to make announcements like a chat forum then you would have a reason to complain.

Problem is (most likely) none of them have run a business with their own money - like Politicians... If it was their own cash in the fight, they'd act very differently...

I'd like to see an update from our BOD with the achievements of those newly voted in members - otherwise they can go..

TC.

No chance in hell Nigel would speak about a potential TO unless something is in writing or has been signed. Way to market sensitive to ever do this. Need to let go of the narrative that TO aren’t being discussed because Nigel said No once at an AGM in the past

I agree, but what i meant was, just because AVZ is now delisted, they wouldnt want to be tardy with official information to their long suffering share holders . We dont want to sit in a echo chamber for long periods of time, we need to be informed of any progress or not, in a reasonable time frame.

That's what he has to say even if there had been approaches. Notification to shareholders of a potential takeover only has to be done when there is a certain seriousness and confidence level of it actually being undertaken, as well as what could be deemed near fair value.
Any board member saying yes to that question would be very foolish.

I vaguely remember Nigel mentioning at an AGM he had been approached but it was not worth considering . Which is fair enough.

They have cut wages considerably ; basically all the board went into sleeper mode with regards to salary payments 6-8 weeks ago ; it’s actually only Ben and NF who are drawing full wage fwiw

Apparently they are now bringing a cut lunch to work each day and the subscription to Mining Monthly has been cancelled .
IT will be the instant coffee and Lipton teabags next.

Pretty sure if you read the last announcement you will see AVZ have committed to complying with all "official announcement" protocols in order to allow a smooth transition back into the ASX if the situation should arise.

Have flown Los Angeles since my last post. 5 ubers: 2 Tesla, 3 hybrids

Went to Dodgers game today they won in 10th innings(extra innings) The Japanese bloke hit the winner! He has just signed a $700usd million contract over 10 years! Haha good luck to him.
