A large crowd present, north of 200 and most pro board. I felt that the cut and thrust from Fattail was shutdown easily on most occasions, although a couple of board responses not very convincing. eg Nigel's involvement with AJN, and the relinquishment of part of the area.
I found that brief conversations with Serge and Graeme after the meeting more enlightening.
With the DRC election set for December, it is highly probable that the MOU may not get much progress for a couple of months.
The corruption as we all know is endemic throughout DRC and assuming the existing president gets reelected more progress on corruption should occur.
Re - Chinese influence is all pervasive in virtually every aspect of life in the DRC. The Chinese are making it very difficult for AVZ's everyday activities.
The proxy voting was very strong for the boards nominations, but quite a few votes were posted directly at the end of the meeting.
