AVZ Discussion 2022

Yeah I'm more wondering what's the case about?
I second that comment.
Where did this case come from?
AVZ are listed first which means we brought the case

Hopefully it is dealing with the blatant disinformation on MMGA's website

Could be either validating how Fatfish got the shares to nominate peter, the source of leaks for the company (think 42M performance options that could be given back if guilty) or lies published/defamation. Although it's interesting I jsut want the FUCKING mining license which will solve all these issues

can someone tell me/us what 'directions' means in Supreme Court chambers context please

Directions is a step to determine how the matter will proceed - eg. do the parties want to conciliate first, discuss in private conference with a mediator, or are they so far apart that the only option is the proceed to hearing the case (in which case dates and a timeline for submissions will be determined and published)

I'm hoping it's for document discovery in relation to how Fatty got Hugelips shares
G'day X

A directions hearing is scheduled to examine the direction that the matter is heading in the court and to discuss with the parties their options to resolve the matter. The purpose is to ascertain the position of each party and determine whether there is any possibility of settling any live issues.

Cheers,
Nells

I wonder if AVZ can just drag this on for the next month whilst voting is open to cast a dark cloud over PH's nomination? Adopt Zijin approach.

Seems it's to do with supplying a copy of Shareholder Register

Supreme Court:

The Court's civil jurisdiction deals with disputes of a complex nature or where the amount involved in the dispute is more than $750,000 as well as applications for injunctions and other forms of relief. The Court's civil practice has a strong focus on case management and on resolving disputes prior to trial.

Why would AVZ be instigating the court proceedings then? Wouldn't Fat Tail have to instigate as AVZ would just say no?

Most likely they are seeking an order for them to stop asking for a copy and to stop whingeing about it on social media. Or possibly fat tail are threatening legal action and AVZ has called their bluff or there has already been a decision in a lower court that AVZ are appealing.

Could it have to do that AVZ is seeking a court order, for whatever reason, to stop the directors of Fat Tail Holdings applying for directorships on the AVZ BoD?
Taken in account when Fait Tail popped up and the speed the court session was organised, it seems to have to do with the upcoming AGM.

Yeah possibly but they probably should have done that before making an official announcement naming them as nominees. Either that or their blatant disinformation particularly around ownership of 13359. And I use disinformation instead of misinformation quite deliberately when referring to this matter. I was basing what I said on the idea that it was relating to the request for a copy of the register but it could be anything.

what did MMGA mean when they said 'commonly accepted process" - referring to either the process of requesting shareholder details or the transfer from Peter to Fat Tail?
