AVZ Discussion 2022

OK so I've just been contacted by Jens Emil Soderlund on my twitter private message. He has asked me to lay off the so called "Memes" (they are not memes they are tactical comms). He said just lay off because the President is getting pissed off with them (embarrassing).

The request was to lay off just for this week. (obviously due to Macron visit). I told him I hadn't even started yet and have an entire campaign to roll out. But I'm happy to take a collective sense check from everyone in here to see what you reckon. Whether to let up for a bit.

I think the sore point is the Princess IGF piece. Apparently she is loved by her constituents and her people. And insulting her is not helping.

Anyway let me know.

Spike my view is it's most likely come from our exec's to Jens (like it has been in the past!). I agree with you that your memes are 'tactical comms' and it looks like our exec's feel they may be going too far.

It's our BOD and exec's fault for not including shareholders in the process, but when it has to do with corrupt and confidential negotiations, and cabinet ministers, CAMI and the State Mining Company (Cominiere) are involved any person with any knowledge of the law would understand why AVZ can't disclose everything that's going on, and they would also understand that ministers often aren't held accountable, and when investigations into them are undertaken, it can take years for anything to come of it. Just look at Scott Morrison and the politicians in this country if you want proof.

The MoP has already been named and Tshisekedi is not likely to sack her or the MoM because he needs them to remain President. More focus on Zigin and the fact that the DG of Cominiere has been charged with fraudulently and illegally selling shares to Zigin and focus on how Chinese companies are trying to take over the DRC for their own benefit.

I don't think we should take a week off, just maybe consider what things work best in our favour. We have seen a great deal of support from DRC locals as well as local journalists there and if you are able to communicate privately with Jens, you will no doubt know how you will want to proceed.... Jens has direct communication with the company and your media contributions are excellent!!

GO AVZ!!!!
Jens can get fucked

His predictions, timeframes and intel are arse paper

For my two cents worth keep highlighting the corruption, dodgy deals and the IGF findings

They are facts....not personal attacks

Fucking boo-hoo to the cry babies

Nige and Co and the DRC should be getting on with fucking serious and direct negotiations to get the Manono project up and running whilst at all times observing and respecting the relevant laws and the mining code......not fucking around and worrying about dick pullers and wankers on social media

Fuck me

If it's been suggested to cut back on the posting for 1 week I think that would be wise. Even though share holders frustrations are maxed out, this week looks like it will be a very important one so best not tipping anyone in the DRC over the edge. If we haven't progressed after this week then sure go to town next week. FWIW Jens would be one of the most connected share holders. If in the past he suggested X weeks till trading then that was likely what was meant to happen at the time. At risk of pineapples the end looks near and rosy on the other side but the job isn't done yet.

Spike, your counter in particular is brilliant, and if it gets under the skin of corrupt DRC officials, Zijin and their troll lackeys...it's doing its job.

It's your call entirely.

However, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by emailing AVZ to see if management has a view. If you get no response, then management is clearly not concerned and nothing lost. If you get a response, you have your answer and at the same time opened a line of communication.

Great work Spike.

"The request was to lay off just for this week. (obviously due to Macron visit)"

What is pissing FT more ?

"French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, March 4, advised the DR Congo leadership to look inward, stop living in denial about what really ails their country, as well as stop blaming other countries for all its ills."

Macron giving FT a slap to face reality and concentrate on his internal divisions ?

Or your tactical comms highlighting FT utter failure to act on his mandate to quell corruption ?

or both ?

What a farken joke Jens is, giving everyone the impression he / she has a bat phone directly to FT........:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Tell the prick to go and fark a pineapple i say.........(y)(y)

How confident are we that the lost tax counter is water tight accurate? Is there a possibility somewhere along the lines the number this is based on is not 100% accurate and concerns could be that its setting an unrealistic expectation on the company for the future?

exactly ; 'go hard, burn it to the ground' FMD; draw your own conclusions , but IMO we are very close now , after 10 months of BS. MoM calls Urgency ...Management are in Africa ; these memes , Gifs , French tweets etc etc have been going on for about 6 months + ..... asked to lay off all of a sudden .... so all of a sudden we have the actual answer and know what to 'go hard, burn it to the ground' ....even though logic prevails to the opposite imo

Maybe concentrate on the benefits AVZ / #Manono would bring to DRC for a week or so, if nothing happens then maybe back to your original targets
If someone keeps pissing on your back (Nige, Deboss, Jens, etc) and tells that it's raining even the most deluded SH would come to their senses and conclude that you're being pissed on.

We have no evidence to the contrary, just lies so far.

One more week and it will all be golden? A golden shower maybe?

Just maybe, maybe negotiations are going on in the background. if they are, then why piss off the other side, it doesnt hurt to tone it down for one week. like one poster said, focus on the benefits of what AVZ can do for the DRC.

I agree, the best strategy IMO would be to give it a week of highlighting AVZ’s achievements also benefits awaiting the people of the DRC & Manono once the ML is signed if it was AVZ management requesting to hold back this week, that’s good enough for me.

It‘s been a fantastic campaign you guys have waged thus far, brilliant effort!;)

If nothing comes of it in a week or so continue the cluster bombing.

Jens and others of his self-important ilk are their own worst enemy with their cryptic clues and pretensions that they're oh-so dialed into things, whilst at the same time getting 110% of their stated claims wrong. I think his hearts in the right place but is just easily convinced, and full of confirmation biases, particularly wanting to believe everything positive he's apparently told whilst ignoring everything else

But holding off a week can't hurt I guess. I would assume based on the memes point that should this be true it would be more about the ones like the Princess and others in jail holding a pineapple, or the MoP as a corruption frog rather than the legit work of Spike to draw attention to the facts.

In any case I like the poster's thought above of continuing the strategic comms but for the next week or two focusing instead on the benefits. Perhaps we could put together a few slick info graphs about AVZ's proposed social development plans drawn from our ASX releases on this subject and flooding them out there to juxtapose our intended good works against the nothing that would be the expected outcome if the Chinese win this shitfight and we have our licence stripped in their favour.

Alright, well the tribe has spoken and there has been an amazing response from you all. Really good ideas and thought sharing. Nice to hear everyone's different sentiments towards the issue.

I think I will hold off just for this week and then go absolutely ape shit after that if there's no news. I can try to do some positive comms but it would have to be a different campaign as I have been very careful about not including AVZ in any of the comms so far apart from the counters and the silly ICC thing.

Not sure if I will have time to develop both.

Thanks everyone for feeding back. Too many good folk to mention but you know who you are. You're awesome!

GO AVZ!!!!
Personally I reckon there is fuck all credence to "things happening" this week and a call to tone down the campaign so as not to upset the applecart

Nevertheless I don't mind the idea of an AVZ positive campaign highlighting all the good things and benefits for the DRC Government and the Congolese people that will come from working with an honest Australian company rather than being absolutely rat-fucked by the likes of Zijin and co.

Edit: Sorry there @Spikerama I must have been typing while you posted your comment above

I think it's just someone's guess.

Spike seemed to think it was more related to the French President's visit as opposed to anything happening with AVZ

The numbers are correct as per the DFS. Christian Lukusa quoted these exact figures when talking about this subject in the interview he did in September.

The actual loss of tax revenue for the DRC government is much higher than 300k USD per day considering the rise in spodumene price.

My two cents.

All communications should be geared towards the positive. I think the lost revenue counter is brilliant, but this should be the only form of negative communication.

I think the most effective bit of information we have at our disposal is the huge dot point list (I can't remember where it is) of all the actions AVZ has taken towards developing Manono says everything we need it to. This says all that is required to the detractors. Imagine a quick little gif that rattles of each of these dot points and starts or ends with "followed the mining code/anti bribery message".

Go to the top. Email AVZ/Nige and if they agree then it holds some merit. If they ask 'Jens who?' then you get a few bonus laughs...

How would you feel as president of a country being told in public in your face to look in your own country and clean up your fuckin mess, before going across the world lecturing every man and his dog, pointing fingers at everybody else bar you own corrupt to the bone government?

Wouldn't you be pissed off and trying to kick a couple of harmless heads?
He knows now that every man and his dog are having their eyes trained at the DRC shit show, which is very obvious being orchestrated by Being.
Which is attempting to operate the DRC like a puppet on a string.
FT's mandate was to clean up that fuckin mess, so far he has failed miserable.

One of his close advisers was seen by the entire world, trying to bribe the fuck out of companies, which are trying to operate in the DRC, being arrested and let off the hook, now playing disco duck in Brussels, paid for by bribe money. What a fucking joke.
The guy should have been placed against a wall and received a bullet between his fuckin eyes for his efforts.

Macron more or less said, wake up, pull your head out of your arse and show some back bone, kick the corrupt arseholes out and lead your country, that is your job.
You have had 3 years the time and have achieved sweet fuck all, other than getting a new globe trotting plane and sparkling heavy gold watch.
In the mean time 60% of the DRC population lives on less than US$3/day, while the Kinshasa elite is overdosing on blood sugar control medication.

Regarding Spike's campaign, it wouldn't hurt to get confirmed from the AVZ BOD's team, if the request to back off, or tone down is desirable at this stage.
