How is it relevant to DRC as it is a US law?

Can any of you clevererer ladies or gents shed any light on this statement. Many thanks in advance.

“1. The United States intends to support DRC and Zambia in their development of a value chain for EV batteries in the DRC and Zambia in a manner consistent with applicable domestic laws and international best practices that facilitate the prevention, detection, and prosecution of corruption, as well as applicable obligations under the United Nations Convention against Corruption.”

United Nations Convention against Corruption

The United Nations Convention against Corruption is the only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument. The Convention's far-reaching approach and the mandatory character of many of its provisions make it a unique tool for developing a comprehensive response to a global problem. The Convention covers five main areas: preventive measures, criminalization and law enforcement, international cooperation, asset recovery, and technical assistance and information exchange. The Convention covers many different forms of corruption, such as bribery, trading in influence, abuse of functions, and various acts of corruption in the private sector. A highlight of the Convention is the inclusion of a specific chapter on asset recovery, aimed at returning assets to their rightful owners, including countries from which they had been taken illicitly. The vast majority of United Nations Member States are parties to the Convention. Read more»

Executive Order 13818 simplified:

13818. The Global Magnitsky Act provides the executive branch with standing, global authority to impose targeted sanctions against specific persons, including in countries with which the United States otherwise shares important bilateral relations.

I'd like to make one suggestion, if I may, to all the lurkers in here. And I know there are many because I'm often quite tickled by the amount of love and likes some of my posts get from members who never say a word. Which is perfectly fine by the way.

But given the amount of you, I reckon it would be great if you could all spend a few minutes creating a twitter account and then going on and following people like @JAG and myself @Spikerama and anyone else you know in here that have revealed their twitter handle and then like the living shit out of everything they post in relation to AVZ.

From there you can see other like minded twitter users who you can also follow and like their stuff. You don't even have to say anything. Just like it up. Because one thing I know about social is we need more than just a few likes to get any real traction. We need hundreds, if not thousands. So every little heart counts at this point.

And I'm sure there are quite a few of you silent ones who have already done just that and are fighting the good fight with sore thumbs but I urge the rest who haven't yet, to enlist and join the fight.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are going to like something that is in French, make sure you read the translation version first because it's very easy to be voting for a detractors viewpoint. You can translate twitter posts by clicking on the text of their main post and there will be a blue "translate" link at the bottom. Easy peasy.

We thank you for your service. 🖖

Here is a copy of the mining code:

So another question, was it unrealistic for AVZ to be seeking PE over the entire tenement, given the fact CDL is very much a PR project , with only a few holes poked in the south ?

No. The mining code doesn't specify that work needs to be carried out across the whole tenement to apply for a PE. The applicant holding the PR only needs to prove the resource is economical to mine in regards to drilling requirements. AVZ received the favourable opinions for the full 221 carrés. CAMI's approval was signed off by Mupande.

How could the initial ML decree include the south of CDL , but not the north ?

Because that's where the declaration submitted by Dathcom cut it off. From memory it was on the line of our most northern drill holes.

Where in DRC mining law does it state that could happen ?

Article 60. As long as the applicant submits a declaration of partial renunciation.

View attachment 30286
View attachment 30287

Was it due to the fact that no exploration was done there or was it indeed a partial waiver ?

From the AGM:

Q: Issue that a portion of mines directorate said we hadn’t done the work on the northern tenement area, and shouldn’t get the north?

A: That’s not within the mining code. So 13359 should be retained in its entirety – however the northern area may need to come under a separate exploration tenement, even though that’s not the established process. – We know who’s behind this (e.g. DG CAMI)

Docs suggest it was a partial waiver..........why would AVZ do that with no assay evidence that it had high mica content ?

Because management were tricked into believing that's what Felix wanted and were obviously given guarantees that Dathcom would retain the north as a PR in a JV with the DRC government. Hopefully they have something substantial to back up their claims in the May 4th 2022 announcement.

Does AVZ require share holder approval to instigate a partial waiver ?

Not if management understood at the time that Dathcom would still retain the north as a PR. And have evidence to back those claims.

AVZ lawyers are highly paid to navigate thru all this shit, how did they get hood winked to accept the intial ML decree without noticing the north of CDL cut off ?

They obviously also believed Mupande that this is what Felix wanted

Do they have good knowledge of DRC mining law ?

Overall I would say yes. Christian Lukusa is very impressive in that interview in September. At the end of the day it would have been management's decision whether to proceed with submitting the partial renunciation application.

How did FT get the impression from his crooked cabinet ministers that AVZ were not worthy / credible in being awarded a ML ?

Snacks

Why wasnt FT following the docs and progress of Manono in the first place ?

All of the advisors that were implicated by management as being the main detractors to AVZ are now gone. The final proof of how closely Felix has been following the docs and progress of Manono will be in the reshuffle imo
A very comprehensive reply to my queries Carlos......many thanks for putting that together.

I am sure all of this has been discussed many times before, but sometimes the facts get hazy when corruption shit is the main topic of conversation , day in, day out.

Really hoping that the positive war drums that i am reading of late towards AVZ, results in a positive resolution soon.

I wouldnt want to be in Nigels & the bods position if a ML hasnt come to pass before the next AGM......;)

I for one will be there again, hounding for " facts " about the PARTIAL WAIVER clause, Nigels shares in AJN and non disclosure regards to " spurious in nature " topics which have led us down the garden path.

Good move, I will do so. Even if our management remain largely silent this could help our real narrative undermine the misinformation. Good on those spreading the truth (in a sensible manner). Love your work, and I'll do a daily scan for likes from today.

Possibly , but i wouldnt want that resolution involving Zijin pre ICC , that would be a easy out for those wankers.

I much prefer to see the knife turn in their guts with the ICC , solidifying their reputation as a coy that cant be trusted thru a global audience , then FT might finally see the light ..........;)

How much more light would that prick need if ICC rules in line with IGF and other sources that are siding with AVZ ?

Pointless waiting/hoping for ICC exposee. IGF/Jules has done that, better, already. Nige & BoD need to access Felix and fix ownership now.

Question for @obe wan

Hi obe, I believe this is in your area of expertise. Every now an then I look up something different about our company and I was thinking about those shorting aseholes who quietly lurk here in the background and then I thought I would have another look at our top 20 holders.

What I noticed is that since June last year, Yibin have managed to add 14 million shares to their total; HSBC Custody Nominees (AUSTRALIA) LTD have added 26 million shares to their total; CITICORP Nominees have added 25 million; and it's looking like Craig Allan Doran's brother has joined the top 20 with 15 million shares....

Any thoughts on this relatively quiet day regarding the trading obe?

This approach has come up with donuts so far mate. My comment was probably tongue in cheek - but still we have made little progress that we know of.
