Both Ministers of Portfolio and Mines are replaced. Any take what's going to happen with the decree that was signed in April 2022 to award Dathcom with ML for 13359?

Hope for an expedited ML issuance, surface fees calculation, and hydro rehabilitation which have been imminent for a long period of time.

Weird this article is 5 days old and none of the DRC journalists had picked it up before today. Last we heard this was meant to be made public when Felix returned from Davos. But the website does look legit from a quick glance.

That is a good question! I really don’t have expect that the MoM will be replaced too. Of course only if the list is true. Feels like we play poker or roulette now :D I hope that the new minister are not corrupt as fuck too.
I forgot that this is DRC and the news may potentially be fake. Let's wait for our credible journalists. It has been 9+ months of suspension. What's a few more days...🤔

I think we can assume they are corrupt; it's just the degree of corruption that may differ.

Hi Carlos,

It was picked up 4 days ago. Let’s hope it’s true!

#URGENT after our pleas on the COMINIERE affair THE #DIACONESSE #ADÈLE #KAYINDA MINISTER OF STATE MINISTER OF PORTFOLIO LOSES HIS MINISTERIAL POST, The same source also confirms that BAHATI #LUKWEBO WOULD have given his opinion Pr THE DEPARTURE OF THE DEACONESSES.

If this news is accurate our MD needs to hop in the next flight to Kinshasha. He admitted that the ball was dropped during COVID after failing to uncover and mitigate our adversaries game of undermining us with the government at every turn. They will undoubtedly be trying to poison the well with new MoP and MoM if indeed they are being replaced. KE did say in his recent interview he'll be in the DRC shortly to push the licence issue for AJN, and you know damn well Zijin, Cong et al will be frantically attempting to gain the upper hand.

NIGEL GET YOSELF TO DRC. We need immediate face time with incoming Ministers before the waters are muddied. We can't rely solely on our local team, seemingly incompetent lawyers, and our primary lobbyist (though they also should be actively engaging of course).

What good can you do from Perth at the moment??

I meant more the official list with all the names not just anonymous sources. It's possible the article was written 5 days ago but only just made public. It's only had 600 or so views so hasn't had many eyes on it until today.

I'm sure we will find out soon enough whether it is true or not. Personally I'm not pinning all of our hopes on what happens with the MoP. But I think she is toast and Felix will make an example of her to boost his election campaign based on fighting corruption.

Biding my Time 1971
So, was the trade-off for Lukonde to retain his role (recall a tweet earlier referring to him being guaranteed his position in the reshuffle), that he got rid of a number of ministers ? (written on the napkin at dinner with Felix)

I noticed the Min of Justice was replaced as well, don't know any others

Guy Loando is still there, but demoted from Min of State for Territorial Development to Min of Social Affairs. Does he do a good party?
