It is a possibility I mentioned before (cooperating with the other side and deliberately losing the case).
One hope would be if the corrupt group are successful in stealing/sharing in the $180m, might they take this and go retire/leave AVZ the fuck alone? Probably wishful thinking as their greed knows no bounds and they will do anything to fuck over their own people.
Minister of Portfolio has already attempted to help both Zijin and MMCS gain percentages of Dathcom. If she is involved in the poor defence of this case, then it could well be another scheme to steal additional funds.

Wishful thinking indeed. For these types more is never enough. If they succeed it only gives them reason to reach even further. When people are consumed by greed, wealth and power to carelessly watch as they condemn others to suffer with no remorse they will do anything to get what they want. We are witnessing in real time what people will do. Corruption is so deeply imbedded it’s like it’s just become acceptable or part of everyday life. Long story short I’m not convinced avz or who ever ends up mining this will ever be left alone.
