Not sure the US will be wanting to invest billions into the DRC to help a stolen Chinese mine export more efficiently.

More talks, more trips, more photos.
I just don't care about these puff pieces.

Just waiting for the ICC and ICSID to drop big turds on the lot of them.

Does seem odd doesn't it.

Presumably the Chinese would have the transport corridors stitched up (or would be working on it), now that they 'have' Manono.

Waiting for AVZ to do all the work and heavy lifting on transport corridors as well and will then just bribe to steal the whole fucking thing

It's the way those pricks work in the DRC.....

That's what I thought too, until you look at ownership.

Ownership: Ivanhoe Mines 39.6%
Zijin Mining 39.6% | Crystal River 0.8% | DRC Government 20%

I'd like the yanks to move in right next to the Zijin scum. After they pay AVZ.
They'd have a bit more clout behind them than our useless one ambassador who does nothing.

I think this could be the issue for the DRC the US and others own and operate the Lobito corridor which unlocks the DRC to ports through other countries.

The retweet from Kibeya is quite odd.

Nearly a month since DRC lodged their counter. Be nice to get some more backing from the ICSID to aid any negotiations that may be taking place. Nice to know the whole shit-show is now getting some high level coverage but where is the Australian ambassador during all these deliberations FFS!

Would be fair to say the USA would be a better proposition to China at least they are more inclined to follow or abide by the ICISD and ICC rulings.
