Akida1000 uhm, when we should be on to the 2nd generation already, where is it, is no one tapping it out or what?

The 2nd generation, by the way, is called what? Akida2000 or 2? I vote for 2 myself, LOL.

Looking at the company website, they cal it 2nd generation.

Well we had Akida 1.0, the engineering sample chip, then Akida 1.1, the demonstration chip, so now we have the COTS Akida 1000 (but we don't know who's making it?) - (nothing to do with "fake it til you make it") ... and we've still got a cupboard full of Akida 1500s, and a display cabinet of Akida 2 FPGAs, as well as an array of designer Picos and M2s. Haven't seen a TENNs chip in the wild yet.

Is this part of the new multi-product line Brainchip - IP, software, chips, engineering support (with Edge Impulse?)?

If we do have a supply of the "limited" Akida 1000 chips, we may start to see a quicker uptake. IP is a very hard sell with a miniscule number of market participants with the necessary cash and capability.

It looks like we have had to build a market for the chips and then get a foundry to make the chips. We will still be involved in designing special purpose SoCs incorporating 3rd party IP/processors. Akida 1000 and 1500 have been taped out and can be made on request. We've had conflicting information on the tapeout of Akida 2. The Akida 2 FPGA is only a shadow of the ASIC. TENNs is the key for high speed temporal applications like micro-Doppler radar with Raytheon/RTX.

Hi manny,

I wonder if there's any overlap between this:

"Detection of FISINT (Foreign Instrumentation Signature Intelligence) and/or hacking across the airframe’s 1553 communications bus"

and the DoE/Quantum Ventura/Akida cybersecurity implementation.

They both need models capable of being used to detect aberrant code.

Quick searches via Gemini etc show that hacking is a huge and growing threat to US National security, Infrastructure and the Department of Defence.
If the QV/BRN/Lockheed Martin (LM) cybersecurity is the game changer they say it is we can expect LM to be flogging to all and sundry in those Governent departments.
One great deal pushes us further along that Early Adopter stage.

Can Intel commercialise Loihi when BRN has the significant SNN IP rights..

Intel Loihi merhod of Neuromorphic AI would have to have to be different to Brainchips patented IP.
What ever Intel have with Loihi its not working.

Hi manny,

I see the chip market as distinct from the IP market. The IP customers are few and far between - cash and tech capability rich chip makers. Chip customers are much more numerous chip users.

The thing is we seem to have discovered a trove of Akida 1000 chips which we can sell on market to anybody who can use it.

We don't have Akida 2 ASIC chips.

Hey Diogenese, my understanding of the Company's nomenclature of the AKIDA products, is..

AKIDA 1.0 IP
AKD1000 with separate batch numbers for Engineering Samples and Production samples (ES silver PS gold).
AKD1500 (we've never seen one?).

AKIDA 2.0 IP and the chip "should" be called AKD2000..


On another note, there seemed to be some stronger buying towards the end of the day, I think something might be up..

Buyers now outnumbering sellers by 2:1 which was as high as 3:1 during trading.

Apparently Chinese, is much harder.

Zheng He, the 15th Century Chinese explorer, discovered most of the New World, before earthquakes or something at China central, was taken as a bad omen and they stopped exploring and closed themselves off from the rest of the World. (hey, that's from memory okay ).

So in their minds, most of the World is "theirs" by the old "we got there first" thingo.

Australia's included in that, using the same "Nobody's Land" BS that the English originally used.

Why do you think Albo said "No thanks" to holding China's hand? (could be a bit of political poison there too though, with elections around the corner).

The way things were going, I reckon OZ, would have been annexed by China, within the next 10 to 20 years (could still happen).

Maybe you're cool with something like that, I don't know..

DOD is a good contact to have but not so sure just how much cash they would generate

To me the obvious candidates would be in drones, particularly autonomous aircraft due to their nature and requirements and also in the field of cyber security in which I understand we can provide helpful attributes due to the unique nature of our hardware.
But of course wearables, sensor fusion, robotics etc, etc. So many other areas we can have beneficial impact, hence our once vaunted cry of ubiquity.
