The following LinkedIn comment by Mercedes-Benz suggests to me once again that they continue to weigh their options with regards to various neuromorphic offerings - the good news is, we are apparently still in the running, but at the same time it is definitely not a confirmation of an upcoming deal either or an acknowledgment of Akida’s superiority over competitors’ technology (note they did not give Kimberly’s earlier post a).
A very diplomatic reply, I’d say, focusing on the potential of BrainChip being considered in the future based on a positive past experience.
But no promise.

This follow-up reply should put to bed any speculation that Akida might already be implemented in any of the Mercedes-Benz automobiles set to roll off the production line in the near future, such as the CLA 2025, which will celebrate its world premiere in March and will be the first model to feature the all-new MB.OS (Mercedes Benz Operating System).
(Not to mention that no IP license has been signed to date.)

Great to see that Mercedes are keeping thier cards extremely close to their chest which will remain that way up until the first release of the
with neuromorphic compute inside for sale to the market.They have no reason to announce any particular partnerships of any kind until such time, so we continue to speculate.Go brainchip.

An IT association based in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi organised the AI Hills Conference that took place there on Saturday and brought together over 200 participants interested in AI.
Since one of the invited speakers happened to be a gentleman presenting on neuromorphic chips, I decided to have a closer look at the uploaded conference pictures and video, since we’ve known for over a year that Ukraine-based Data Science UA has been playing around with Akida. And bingo - the speaker did indeed represent Data Science UA!
According to my Google Lens translation, Ilya Babichev started out talking about the advantages and disadvantages of neuromorphic chips in general - the disadvantages being that precision-wise, they have yet to prove themselves more accurate than the “classic” (= von Neumann) architecture, that the software for NC has not yet caught up with the hardware and that well-defined performance benchmarks were still missing.
After introducing AKD1000, he listed at least three different use cases, namely drone detection (obviously a very important real life use case in 2025 Ukraine!), keyword detection and recognition of surface types, such as identifying areas of soil suitable for planting crops with the help of a quadcopter, in areas where forest fires and deforestation have resulted in land that can be repurposed for agriculture.

I guess in theory NVIDIA could use 1000's of AKIDA chips in certain circumstances where real time and low power is required. If NVIDIA wants this it would require some Cheque book diplomacy.
Not sure whether NVIDIA entire cloud work could be diverted to off cloud at a lower cost via AKIDA? That would be a huge challenge maybe not attainable (we are event based) but someone at NVIDIA will likely at least contemplate it.

I think deepseek has woken the world to the udea that brute force is not required to get the best out of AI. Companies will start to look elsewhere for more elegant solutions.
Additionally, Nvidia has recovered around 8% today so far. I hope we will follow suite. Was good to get that quarterly out given yesterday's drop anyway.

And correct me if I’m wrong, but they will have to announce a deal before going into production, as the nature of such an announcement will be price-sensitive for the company selling their tech to MB.

Correct me if Iam wrong research partners are not defined as partners that will be used in a car ? . Nit picking isn’t the answer to the facts there are no neuromorphic partnerships announced to date that will be known to the market until Mercedes advise on this topic. I will also go as far to say no your incorrect to assume Mercedes must announce all partners prior to offering sales on a new car . That is putting the cart before the horse as they say and unnecessary or smart from a Buisnesss standpoint .I fail to see anything positive in that…

The whole AI thing is like milk … you can do a lot of different stuff with it… just add some lemon and you will have creme cheese… and there is more to discover… very exciting… I can only speak for myself, since the deeps. Announcement, I am more confident. Things will moving faster now
