US telling CATL to go fk themselves.
Not sure what impact that will have on the rest of the world. CATL/China will still have plenty of fun though decimating Europe's vehicle production capacity.
Don't forget EU is closer to US than it is to China, on top of that they have a car industry not only in Germany, but entire Europe to defend and would be happy to give China the middle finger.
If we take in consideration the following:
The automotive industry is crucial for Europe's prosperity. The automotive sector provides direct and indirect jobs to 13.8 million Europeans, representing 6.1% of total EU employment.
2.6 million people work in direct manufacturing of motor vehicles, representing 8.5 % of EU employment in manufacturing.
Do you think that Europe as a trading block will say to China 'Come on and flood our market with your cars and destroy our car industry with your stolen lithium'?
I somehow don't think that Europe will accept this laying down and say ok, fuck us over.
