Where the fuck is our government in all this. While we offer resettlement to displaced people of the DRC and our expertise in the mines the provide profit for the country. Our useless shills are crying over some words and trans rights. Why isn’t penny out there saying look we’re handing over 300+ billion to ensure our trade roots with China are safe from…China. Now give us the fucking ML or our mate joe is going to make your minerals worthless by decreeing that climate change is a giant lie and fuck lithium and cobalt. I mean this is off the deep end wishful thinking but still. Where the fuck are we! Sitting in the embassy on 150k a year talking about arts collaboration.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote to Penny Wong, the Hon Minister for Foreign Affairs about AVZ's issues in the DRC. I expect a ministerial response any day now. Just like the ML...any day now.

The Australian government should be taking a very keen interest in this mess, I alone will pay around 1 MILLION DOLLARS in capital gains tax if AVZ get anywhere near $2 and I sell.

Do the sums, have a guess collectively what tax we will pay if we get the go ahead. I don’t care if I pay 2 million tax I will be relatively rich compared to my life’s struggle.

So get your act together Australian government if you want to put your hand out, after all we are dealing with open corruption.

DRC’s President Tshisekedi reshuffles cabinet ahead of election

Analyst says the overhaul of the DRC’s 57 member-cabinet just months before the election is a ‘deeply political shuffle’.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s President Felix Tshisekedi has appointed the country’s former vice president Jean-Pierre Bemba, who was imprisoned for more than 10 years for war crimes, as defence minister in a sweeping government reshuffle.
His appointment was part of an overhaul of the 57 member-cabinet, which the president’s spokesperson said was “urgent and necessary”, in an announcement on national television late on Thursday. No further details were given.

The reshuffle, which was more extensive than observers had predicted, comes just months before a presidential election on December 20, in which Tshisekedi is likely to seek a second term.
“This a deeply political shuffle,” said Jason Stearns, director of the Congo Research Group and professor at Canada’s Simon Fraser University.
Presidential candidates are expected to be announced next October, with a final list due in November. One likely challenger for the presidency is Martin Fayulu, who claimed victory in the 2018 poll. Another is Moise Katumbi, former governor of the oil-rich Katanga province.
Tshisekedi appointed Vital Kamerhe, his former chief of staff who was released from prison in December 2021 following an embezzlement conviction, as economy minister.

Nicolas Kazadi was maintained as finance minister.
The appointments bring political heavyweights into the government, strengthening Tshisekedi’s coalition before elections, Stearns said.
“Key positions are given to senior politicians who have large constituencies to please but little expertise in their new ministries. Kamerhe is not an economist. Bemba was a rebel but has little formal military training,” he said.
Kamerhe, an influential Congolese power broker, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2020 for embezzling nearly $50m from a presidential economic programme. He denied the charges.

His sentence was reduced to 13 years on appeal the following year but a higher court overturned the judgement in June 2022.

Bemba, a former rebel leader was arrested in 2008 by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by his troops in the Central African Republic between 2002 and 2003.
He was acquitted and released 10 years later after his conviction was reversed on appeal. He was, however, accused and convicted on lesser charges of witness tampering during the trial.

I said after the Jules video at the end, he said as per the translation that he had done his job and passed the report on to the next person. I just had the feeling with his tone and body language that the report was done but he knew it was not going any further but he had done what had been asked of him.

But it exists and has been made public . AVZ can use it as evidence. Felix cannot ignore it . If he chooses to side with corruption he will be exposed . For this reason I think nothing will happen now until after the election.
Of course he can ignore it. That's exactly what he's done

That maybe so but he is fully aware of the IGF's findings and AVZ's standing . That is easily proven . The argument put forward by some is he doesn't have an understanding of the circumstances surrounding AVZ and the Manono project. That can also be proven to be false. His main focus now is re-election not Manono. He needs all his Ministers and the Chinese on side.
Hard to disagree with that! I'm sure he knows all about it, and it's a conscious decision to do nothing

Political agenda comes first

Ofcause he understands but it doesn't suit his agenda. Does anyone really think that his underlings are making 100rds of millions of dollars ( in plain sight ) and he's not getting his cut. Jesus christ that 300k watch is tip money compared to what he is making. But all at a safe distance. Christ the 2 blokes he just put in senior positions both just out of jail one for embezzlement of public funds and the other crimes against people in Africa. Case brought by the icc a real nasty bastard. Obviously elpresadentia needs some muscle to make sure the money ends up where it should. Imo

Should you flick the same correspondence to the Australian embassy in Zimbabwe. They are tasked with being involved in any diplomatic issues in Africa

I don't know who he is, what he is, or what he is trying to say.

I just have enough of people trying to be important.

By all means he could be MIA Dear William. Brother of I don't fukkin care.
So to stop the guessing, taking in consideration he doesn't say anything intelligent, I did he right thing without calling him names.

As far as I am concerned, the dude is now talking into a big black hole and not poisoning my GT.

I have better things to do, than attempting to read his meaningless nonsense.
