Can already sense the rush for the exits when this trades again.

The company is being played by the Chinese to a tee. Allowing them to get a foot in the door during Covid was Nigels biggest mistake.

I hate the fact that AVZ often was such a big influence in how my average work day went overall, based on sp movement. I’m sure others are feeling rather deflated and worn out, but today was particularly bad for me. Not good to have an unhealthy reliance on a stock, but there’s only so much fishing one can do. Not in the DRC, where the actual asset is. Thats a fact. He has received all those free shares and still can’t have his arse on the ground?? Afraid of a few more mozzies or what?

The sector looks to be turning again the last 3-4 days, and AVZ is going to miss out yet again.

At this pace production at nameplate initial stage will unlikely be until 2026 now.

Those doubting me take a look at Core and Sigma.

Also capex increase is like a Tsunami. What long lead items have been ordered?

Labour will be cheap in the DRC but a lot of the plant costs eto will not escape this. LTR $447M - $895M

Finance will not be as easy as the “prime time“ to bank serious coin evaporates.

Nah I'll bite. You actually raise some decent points here @Modo. Looks like someone listened to the point I made.

Allegedly Nigel is heading to the DRC in 'late January'. With his appearance at the forum in South Africa in early February it seems he will be in the region. As many on this forum have pointed out it is very easy to post some happy snaps for publicity. The only 2 times I remember seeing Nige in Africa during suspension were a few pics at Manono in a magazine and in a video on a train in Tanzania. Hopefully we get some more soon.

I agree AVZ will be extremely lucky to produce in 2025 at this rate

Capex and borrowing cost increases will be significant from the DFS. The price for spodumene should be just under double the DFS which will absorb a lot of that but the longer we wait to start the more it will eat in to the profit margin imo

I personally dont think getting finance will be an issue considering the need for the end product but the terms wont be anywhere near as favorable as they would have been if this show got on the road in May last year imo

Anthony Tse would not be a bad choice. Try and get a Win Win situation for all parties.

Nigel is way out of his league, and John Clarke is the equivalent of “the lady in the van” when it comes to Chairman’s.

Nigel brought on board one of his yes men, at a massive cost now to shareholders.

Carries no weight and third parties know this.

There is no serious depth in the current board, none of them carry any weight of experience in govt. dealings / negotiations.

Partially agree with your first point. What AVZ actually needs is a proper CEO. Nigel has the title of AVZ CEO on his LinkedIn from memory. Defo seen him using it about. But we haven't officially named the replacement that was promised years ago as far as I can remember. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

But saying that Nigel is the right man to move AVZ forward as it currently stands imo
