AVZ Discussion 2022

Was previously sitting on 3 million shares at average of $0.16. Sold looking to buy back at $0.13 but missed the jump after the CR which announced that part of the CR would be used to buy the extra 15%. Got my prediction of CR and price right but gambled they weren’t going to announce the extra % ownership acquisition at the same time so now have the same number of shares at average $0.20 because from memory had to sell some CXO and BRN which I purchased in between. Didn’t want to be trading AVZ, just wanted to lower my average, so yes I would have had a good profit and still have. The thing is that I see AVZ going to $2 in the short term under Felix’s government and really want to hold until producing and at least $5. If we are in the construction phase and it looks like there may be a change of govt in the DRC in late next year’s election, then I would consider selling then. Felix is doing his best to clean up corruption and it’s not an easy job, but AVZ still majority owner in Dathcom and if the worst case scenario happened and Zigin got that last 15% (which seems unlikely to me) I think the share price would still be well north of here for various reasons including they would have to make a financial contribution, it seems to be the only thing that stopped the ML and we would have more money in the bank. I probably sound like a ramper now, like you I have had big profits and big losses and the biggest reason companies go under is because they run out of money and AVZ still has plenty left. AVZ also has legal ownership to a large % of Dathcom and even if the Chinese or anyone else wants it, they are going to have to pay well north of today’s price. Many reasons listed already supporting our position and I think worst case scenarios not as bad as some people make out. Biggest worry I see is for those shareholders who need cash right now

This is what I don't get with people saying TO after ML. I mean why?

If we get ML then its BFS and FID and game on. The time to sell the company was before ML not after the hard yards of getting it.

For me the next point for a TO will be prior to the election and if that passes then no TO ever, no point.

Hey mate we've all got stories like that . I've lost and made $100s of thousands over the years . I pulled out of a stock I'd been holding for years at a loss that if I'd have held for another 12 months would have given me a $2million + profit . Mate we've all got these stories . AVZ is just another one to add to the list .

Ahh that reminds me of buying 4c AVZ shares when they went to 10c finally buying more, only to hit 37c and held all the way down, so I decided Na I’ll buy more more more & totally glad I did and held.

I’m saying that yesterday I thought ok either LRS or CRR , I bought CRR yesterday and typical today it’s down & LRS well had a great day…. 🤦

I totally forgot CRR was the old 4CE except without the Brewer..

Anyway let’s hope AVZ sort it out within the next 2 weeks hey 👍

I agree with you, I would only sell if next DRC election it looked like a corrupt government was going to win. We have a pls plant, increasing resource, battery hub and infrastructure all in the planning

The blood letting of MPs and reshuffle can't be good for trying to get all this progressed quickly. It's another spanner in the works, even though in the long run it should be better for DRC and us

I don't think progress would have been possible without the purge.
I don't see it as a spanner in the works, but required progress.

One could of course say that it should have happened much earlier.
However these are huge changes and in the DRC political climate require a lot of courage.
The changes could not have been made without proper documented evidence.

There will be a lot of pissed off characters in the DRC, who not only suddenly see their super incomes reduced to nil, but also are running scared for a knock on the door from the IGF, with a please explain.

Hate to be a princess with cold eyes in a green dress at the moment.
But then again these people have shown not to have a conscience, they probably consider they did nothing wrong.
Just a little bit of creative craft.

Whilst likely, the other side of the coin is new MP's would be looking to make a mark early. What better way than to be associated with the progression of the biggest lithium mine on the planet.

Why is the CAMI dude not fired?

Probably what everyone conveniently forgets when talking about the reshuffle allowing progression of ML.

The key person holding it up is still there regardless of reshuffle of other portfolios.

Point taken Wombat, I guess it just means you, I and those others you mention are more used to making and losing significant amounts of capital and probably aren’t in the same position as some of the holders here who are anxious and depressed. Making and loosing large amounts isn’t anything to brag about, it just means you know how to weather the storm a little better than others that’s all
" it just means you know how to weather the storm a little better than others that’s all"

Comment of the week for me. 🥇💯

Cheers.

Why is the CAMI dude not fired?
CAMI was under the supervision of the the Minister of Mines and Minister of Finance. Previously its Director General of CAMI (who should answer to CAMI’s BOD) has been suspended by the MoM so it appears CAMI’s BOD (a separate entity within govt) has power which may slow the mining and exploration processes. Also, it seems the Prime Minister (the man with the shrunken head, Mr Lukonde) has the power to overrule the MoM. Maybe I’m wrong in my opinion of Lukonde, but at this stage, until I see him pull his finger out, he’s on my suspicions list. I edited my original post here after further reading on the link I’ve attached below, hope it helps: https://copperbeltkatangamining.com...l-of-the-mining-cadastre-for-insubordination/
