The FTSE 100 and European stocks started the day on the front foot on Tuesday, even as the latest jobs data showed more signs the cost of living crisis could spark a recession.
The FTSE 100 (^FTSE) rose 0.41% to 7,538 at the opening, while the CAC (^FCHI) advanced 0.23% in Paris. In Germany, the DAX (^GDAXI) gained 0.39%.
