The New York-based media company, which owns the Journal, HarperCollins Publishers and news organizations in the U.K. and Australia, said revenue fell 1.8% to $2.45 billion for the quarter ended March 31. âIn a period in which advertising was clearly insipid in certain parts of the world, our core non-advertising revenue has been particularly robust,â Chief Executive Robert Thomson said. News Corp shares were up 4.6% in after-hours trading.
