IMU Discussion

HI all, just a discussion thread to discuss anything IMU related.
Just to kick things off, share price was really bogged down after a few good announcements. I really think this is a great long term hold.

The CEO seems very confident in all her ASX investor videos mate so that keeps me confident and I'm not going anywhere for a while .

IMU will get it own BRN’s moment. This is a prime candidate for another unicorn status imo.

I agree with all of the above. IMU is my second largest holding by dollar value.
Hope we have some good fortune there as well!
They have soooo many options to progress with, plenty of cash, and a brilliant board backing them up.
I have to keep pinching myself when I start to believe they may well have the cure for cancer. Mankind's been dreaming of that all my long life.
We're familiar with the sarcastic retort, "Yes, and pigs might fly." When I was young, an alternative come-back to an outrageous claim was, "Yes, and I suppose you/they can cure cancer!".
What an amazing era we are living in - both for better and for worse.

I am really excited about this stock too as IMU & BRN are my two largest holdings in my portfolio. Sadly though the shorters have been picking on IMU the last few months driving the price down heavily. Hope it turns around soon and the shorters get burnt like they did with BRN.

Was thinking IMU was a little too frothy in the high 40's and onto the 60 range.

Waited/hoped for a pull back and entered in the low 30's. topped up a bit lower than that. Will be a long term hold for me. Potential down the track for this is very good. Risk vs Reward at this point was worth getting in early imo.

Could have waited for more positive news to be released confirming success but may have missed a better entry point in trade off for less risk.

Happy to hold and see where it goes for now.

I'm with you, Hittman! I'll keep topping up my holdings whenever funds allow it.
WBT, IMU and BRN all share the key ingredients I look for in a company:
  • Smart, highly credential people with well-established reputations based on prior relevant positions.
  • A growing body of unique IP with extensive, thorough patent protection.
  • A strong financial position that will enable them to achieve their immediate targets.
  • An established lead over their potential competitors that guarantees a good head-start.
  • The ability to commercialise their product(s) and establish them in the relevant markets.
  • High ethical standards that are obvious, both to shareholders and to others in their industry.
The leaders of these three companies - people like Coby Hanoch, Dadi Perlmutter, Leslie Chong, Paul Hopper, Peter van de Made, Tony Dawe, etc - are so respected within their industries that you know the companies they work for will be completely above board and that, as a shareholder, you can trust what they tell you. Their companies may not always turn into unicorns, but you know they'll give it their best shot.

IMU has so many potential drugs, either in the clinic or ready to go, that it's just a matter of waiting patiently while they work away in the clinics until the inevitable success is proven. For all those who will be given another chance at life by these drugs, that day can't come too soon!

I believe this video explains why IMU’s share price has fallen so much recently despite all the amazing announcements. Does make you question everything about the ASX 🥺

@TechGirl one of your favs!
I've got some IMU in my super (circa 23K shares).

Long term it's very promising, although I don't follow it near as closely as I do BRN. See how we go!

I have them as well.. I check on them from time to time but it is a bit of a sit and wait for news with them in my opinion. Long Term potential could be huge. that's why I bought in but they could fizz too. Promising at this stage but for sure at this point it is a speculative play and should be treated as such.

The old line of, invest only what you are willing to lose is apt here. One could wait until more promising announcements are made and risk reduced, but pay a high price or take a punt and enter now at a greater risk vs reward ratio.

One of the great advantages of the this place is that when you try to post a link to a forum or investment service that HC does
not own or have a partnership with it is not moderated. While shopping around today I found the following link and if you scroll down you will find a recent interview conducted with the CEO of Imugene Lesley Chong:

I have not watched but thought you might be interested and as I say it is so easy to provide a link why not.

My opinion only DYOR

Thanks FF, appreciate the link. Yes it is great we can share links now to help broaden each other’s knowledge and not be moderated by HC. I am excited with this stock just as much as BRN. The potential for patients and SH will be astronomical IMO. However it seems bots are causing havoc with this since it entered ASX 300 and then 200. I think there’s an agenda of big Pharma or other big players to keep the price low for a possible cheap takeover. All speculation on my part and I hope I’m wrong.

Hi guys. Have been watching this stock for a while and just bought a small amount as a gift to give my son when he turns 18. Seemed like a pretty good time to buy. I’d love to give him more than what the banks interest allows and tell him the money helped with a cure for cancer as well . Looking forward to the journey with you all 🙂

IMHO, IMU will go down further. It currently sits 38 places outside of the ASX 200 and indexed funds will be winding down positions accordingly.

Move on, nothing to see.
This could be worthwhile listening to.

At a decent Australian time of day also.

I’ve registered.
