I agree on all accounts.
Hoping we hear further news soon but unlike many others, i'm expecting that the clarification announcement will be the last for a while. I don't think we'll receive any additional updates or that Merck have shed for a reason which will result in additional announcements imminently.
Happy to be proved wrong though.
I mentioned to another IMU/BRN holder privately that what I like about biotech is that you have event lines which are not time lines as some investors would like it to be. They are rubbery but only as to the date when the events will occur.
I read the first announcement about Merck and knew what it was telling me and personally there was nothing in the second announcement I did not already know.
At the point Merck removed itself there was absolutely nothing that could have changed about IMU and the technology to have precipitated this action by Merck.
The only thing that changed as a result of this announcement was a couple of million dollars worth of drug was not going to be made available by Merck directly to IMU for Merck’s own internal reasons. Full stop.
In Merck getting to this point they would have had access to all the IP before they agreed originally and IMU have strict NDA requirements around the release to protect the IP as they should and as has proven sensible given what Merck did.
Until told otherwise speculation about deals or further announcements does nobody any good and is based on absolutely no evidence of any kind.
What I expect is the trials will proceed sourcing the drug from elsewhere as stated and we will receive the normal announcements as the known events occur through too first dose.
We will receive news on the many other trials as they reach the FDA inflection points and the researchers running the trials will collate the results under supervision by the independent monitors and once approved these will go to the company for consideration and of course release to the ASX as required by the Rules.
In the background people of the calibre of Professor Yuman Fong will add another layer of scrutiny and control and finally the results will go to the FDA for further scrutiny and approval of the next stage.
Compared to how much work we have to put in to monitor BRN it is a dream come true.
Anyway onwards and upwards and may those who are finding hope as a result of these trials be rewarded with good health.
My opinion only DYOR
