BRN & Vorago -> Telstar -> KT -> Mercedes Benz-> BRN

Firstly, I decided to dive into the connection I previously found which seems to link BRN & Vorago with Telstar. As the thread title suggests, there is a tangible circular relationship involving BRN/Vorago, KT Corporation (huge Korean Telco), and Azbil Telstar who, as it turns out, are keen on AI smart factories....

Here goes: BRN and Vorago are advertised as an exhibit at Space Tech 2022:

View attachment 1732

Unless the presenters of Space Tech Expo have made an error, BRN and Vorago will be displayed at booth 7029:

Booth 7029 belongs to Telstar:

Please note that the dates of the exhibition and the advertisements link Telstar and BRN & Vorago as they share the same booth; Telstar paid for it and BRN/Vorago, it seems, are taking a free ride...

Telstar are into process and equipment solutions as well as specialising in thermal vacuum chambers; space testing....

I thought it ended there but a shallow dive into Telstar, aka Azbil Telstar, aka Telstar_Hommel, shows that they're heavily in AI smart factories:

I recommend their recent video featuring Jung Yung-woon.

I recall LDN mentioning cooperation with a large Korean Co. For a distinctive Korean flavour (Telstar Co is everywhere), Telstar is correlated with Hyundai and KT:

Finally, a Telstar/KT connection with Mercedes leads nicely back to BRN:

Please pull this apart whilst sparing thoughts and prayers for those caught in conflict...

Here's a partnership with KT and Amazon web services...

Hyundai Heavy Industries & Construction are using AI that can 'analyse data and learn for itself':

MORE ON KT @ MWC2022:

'...Meanwhile, KT’s exhibition will be located in Hall 4, home to MWC‘s newest feature GSMA Industry City, a special exhibit by the host of MWC.

KT, which has 22 million local subscribers, is the sole Korean company that employs a GSMA board member, KT Chief Executive Officer Ku Hyeon-mo.

KT is set to have its autonomous virus-killing robot make a public appearance for the first time. KT said the robot can run for 24 hours, and is capable of sterilizing airborne bacteria and viruses using air plasma, and of disinfecting floors with lamps that emit ultraviolet-C lights -- known to have the shortest wavelength but be most powerful for ultraviolet purification.

Developers of the smart robot is in the course of mounting AI technology to detect air quality real-time, the company added.

This will come along with a number of AI solutions by KT. Its so-called AI Contact Center features an automated customer service that interprets and responds to customer inquiry through an active communication, according to the company. The automated service was launched in Korea last year.

KT’s AI use cases will also range from road traffic analysis for real-time traffic flow optimization, video analysis via closed-circuit cameras for faster emergency response, choreography analysis and automated management of 5G network quality, the company added...'

Hi Quatrojos, Telstar are saying it is a mistake regarding the webpage with Vorago and Brainchip and booth 7029 regarding the SpaceTech Expo 2022. This makes sense because that webpage mentioning Vorago and Brainchip is 2 years old. Anyone can find the same webpage in the list of BRN announcements.
I am still waiting for a reply from BRN to see if they are have an exhibit at the SpaceTech Expo 2022.

Hey Salt,

Did you get a response from Telstar? The announcement re BRN/Vorago is from 2020 but the advertisement says 2022. I'm stoked that you've decided to dig, too. This reminds me of when UIUX (from memory) discovered the BRN/NASA link...

Yep, I emailed Telstar, they say it is a mistake. But I haven't got any more info.

I was skeptical enough to dive in...

The SpaceTech Expo is a perfect place for BRN to exhibit. Be nice to see something from them there.

I recall similar modifications and retractions following the NASA link...

Not wanting to cross promote but commendation when due should be given. Telstar were good enough to reply. I've emailed other companies and get nothing at all.

And Telstar has developed a lovely cubesat chamber with which to test things like rad-hardened silicon. It's coincidences like these that cause me to look twice...

oops, had to edit, sorry.

The connection through space tech 2022 still led me to Merc through Telstar and KT. As a sceptic, I find this encouraging...

Hey Salt, is the reply from a first-level enquiry?

I can't say what a first level enquiry is. The reply is from a person connected to the equipment that will be displayed. I wont reveal their name for privacy reasons. The booth is an exhibit showing off amongst other gear their new thermal vacuum chamber.

From their website. 'Telstar has developed TVAC3 (W124.5cm x H197.4cm x D81.8cm), a compact version of a cube shaped Thermal Vacuum Chamber designed to test cubesat satellites and small satellites components.' It simulates space conditions. The company has a huge global presence.

It seems relevant to quote part of TechGirl's Feb 3rd post at this point ......

.."Tensor, along with several commercial partners, is developing new technology suitable for small satellites (SmallSat/CubeSat) and small launch vehicles. As part of this development, we are designing autonomy and artificial cognition capabilities for small scale satellites and vehicles that will be scalable to any space vehicle. Taking advantage of our previous experience in the areas of neural modelling and advanced automation algorithms we are proposing a deep neural net and in-space autonomy and cognition systems neuromorphic processing module for this solicitation. Using the COTS The BrainChip, Inc. Akida with fully configurable neural processing cores and scalable neural nets, we can design autonomy and artificial cognition capabilities for our prototype CubeSat that will be scalable to any space vehicle. The overarching goal is to make spacecraft autonomy affordable and ubiquitous."

Just like BRN will be.

Only guessing but looks like connections all over the place.

Great post TechGirl
