Given Brainchip's development hub could be used by even 'garage' inventors/developers would it be a surprise to see AKIDA in Drones in Ukraine?
The development hub supports AKIDA 1000 and 1500. So at least the 1000 chips would be procurable.
The reality is a developer from a garage in the Ukraine could easily put a system together and have it on the battlefield within months.
Its the difference between survival and US type Bureaucracy which takes years.
Ukraine via Brave1 etc is talking about smart autonomous drones that perhaps even learn and make decisions in real time.
Example below. Plenty more.
Sean has been talking 'big' about Drone interest. Perhaps its growing faster than what we think?.

Iam looking forward to consumer products outside of military and specialised detections that are not in neache markets. Although I am extremely happy we are. as it shows the world Akida is leading in neuromorphic compute.
My investment in brainchip tho has allways been under pretence Akida would make the most profit for share holders in consumer devices like most of us here.
2026, i do believe the ducks are all line up now for such an outcome, with all that the brainchip team have put in place. I am very sure we are close to the explosion that has previously been mentioned.

Yep, i am sure a lot of consumer use will migrate from military and space use. Devices for radar and LIDAR for example will find there way into civilian craft (air and water), robotics. Basically anything that moves needs collision avoidance, decision making and recognition capabilities.
Some military wearables will likely also be modified for civvy use.

I checked out Devansh Lingamaneni’s LinkedIn profile and noticed he had reposted the following post about his Infosys ARC (Applied Research Centre) team having recently presented a live neuromorphic computing demo at Celebrating Tech 2025 (Infosys Bangalore DC’s flagship technology event in November), which in turn led me to a couple of other Infosys employees’ LinkedIn profiles.

Among them that of Senior Consultant Manish Kolachalam, who states that their research with regard to neuromorphic computing does not only relate to drones but also to “improved methods for Traffic Signal Control”:

- Currently pursuing solutions in applications of Neuromorphic Computing and Swarm Intelligence to Autonomous Machines
- Projects include Object Detection using Spiking Neural Networks in event data, heuristics for drone task allocation and improved methods for Traffic Signal Control”

Hi Jacob,

I guess it gives us a bit of price differentiation. Akida 2 can do what Akida 1 does, but much better, and it can do much more. That is the basis for charging more for Akida 2 than Akida 1. So if the customer only needs Akida 1 capabilities, they can buy the cheaper Akida 1.

Similarly Akida 3 has more capabilities than Akida 2, and will cost more.

I think 1500 is in some ways more capable than Akida 1 (see the new tape out MAC discussion), but it does not have the ARM Cortex processor, so that will reduce its cost both by avoiding the ARM licence fee and in reduced silicon footprint. .

IMO BrainChip does have the beginnings of a moat in the neuromorphic edge‑AI market — not a full on moat yet, but a real, advantage built on technology, patents, and timing.
The deeper you dig the more obvious it is that’s genuinely hard for others to copy.
1. Patents = The IP wall is real
2. Low power.
3. On chip learning which is a great advantage for Drones, Robotics, Cybersecurity, IOT.
Most competitors cannot come close.
4. Full ecosystem including all the tools, eg Akida Cloud (no hardware needed to test), Akida Development Hub, Model Zoo.
5. Partnerships some starting to bear fruit now, eg, Onsor, Frontgrade, Bascom Hunter, RTX/US/AFRL and Parsons.
No doubt we still have a long way to go but we are getting there.
